hiya! things have been … ok. i actually got news of which building i would be living in next year as a Resident Advisor on campus, and it was the exact building i didn’t want :/ pretty disappointed by that, especially since i’ve had such a bad experience living in said building, but i gotta look at it positively. i can only hope that i get accepted again as an RA my last year here at college, and that they put me in the apartment style building. until then, it’s another year in a building that i dislike :( oh well.
other than that sad news, things have been going well!! i’ve been enjoying my classes immensely, and i’ve been going to a lot of performances/interesting things, which has been a lot of fun ! i’m also enjoying playing a lot, as i think i’m improving, and my mindset about a lot of things has been changing slowly. it’s interesting to notice it in myself, but i think i’m better off for it.
i’ve been trying that app Opal to limit the amount of time i’m on social media, and i think it’s been doing a good job of keeping me off of it! i notice that because it’s locked down, i don’t even bother trying to go on instagram or tiktok. somehow i still end up being on my phone for four hours out of the day, which granted is me having the metronome/tuner on the screen for a lot of it, or doing a lot of google searches, but it’s crazy how that time still adds up. however, i know it’s definitely a more productive time. anywho, that’s been my life lately.
i’ve been studying using “study with me” videos based in japan, and it makes me miss it so much :(((( so ready to go back.
