General Patton hit it right on the head. Whenever I accept a challenge, competition, heavy workload, or even physical goal, the first thing I do is imagine overcoming the rough battle and picture myself winning or meeting my goals. It’s that one mental frame that I use to guide my thoughts and motivation to meet sweet victory. And let me tell you, victories are the most exhilarating experiences I have encountered. The bigger the better.

Throughout college, I have lived by this quote to help motivate me to get myself to where I want to be. I started at Salisbury University as a Marketing major. That wasn’t enough, so I added an Environmental Studies major to fulfill my passion I have for the environment. I’ve been taking a minimum of 17 credits a semester while taking on multiple leadership positions that have lead to some of those exhilarating experiences I mentioned before. Keep following, I promise I won’t let you down.

Under Armour Ultimate Intern Competition - Championship Game

The Under Armour Ultimate Intern Competition has sparked a blazing fire from within my soul.

Today, while reading the details of the next month, a strong feeling came over me. A feeling I haven’t had since playing sports in high school, and is best described as the feeling before competing in a championship game. That feeling you get when you're pulling your hair back tight, putting eye black on in the mirror, dressing in your uniform, lacing up your shoes, and walking out of the locker room with intense music pumping through your mind. It's the feeling that your body wants to scream while your heart’s beating out of your chest. The feeling you get when you can’t wait to get on the field and beat the living hell out of the opposing team. It’s invigorating.

So please, watch me play this championship game and cheer me on by endorsing me while I play attack as I always have. I plan on scoring goals and winning the trophy of my dream internship in my hometown, Baltimore.

Game on.
