instead of texting, Rui and Shizuku send each other these elaborate, hand-written in cursive letters put in envelopes stickied with wax (probably crayon) seals with ribbons tied around them and sprayed with perfume and all

but they don't even use the post like normal people, they get delivered from Rui -> Tsukasa -> Saki -> Shiho -> Shizuku and back. Shiho is so done with this. "ding ding, it's your fan mail" she says with disgust (not reallyyyy) as she throws a singular envelope into Shizuku's room every other day

on the lucky days that Emu visits Kamikou, they are treated with express delivery since she drops off Shizuku's when she arrives and takes Rui's directly from him back to Shizuku at Miyajou. a much more cheery little postman, she is, too!!
