I know i wasn't as active this year, but I do hope everyone had some fun celebrating the queer peeps in your life!

Pride may be almost over, but the gay is forever!

As for the announcement, ive been struck with a lot of writers and art block as of late. I know i can do better, so im doing a challenge to flex my creative muscles!

For the entire month of July, i will be drawing the yokai in the top comment of the reddit version of this post! I haven't done a month long challenge such as this in a while, and I am looking forward to it! If you're seeing this on Tumblr first, get over to r/newyokaiwatch to stake your claim!

Hi guys!! I just wanna announce that the r/NewYokaiWatch subreddit now has the official 2025 yo-tober prompts!!

I know that someone on tumblr already made a yokai inktober prompts on here so you don’t have to do mine!! This is for our subreddit, and I’m just spreading the word if you know the sub!!

Here are some explanations on some of the days if they cause confusion :

Day 1: this is basically making your own nyan or koma OC, can be a self insert if wanted

Day 7: you’re giving a yokai or human a new outfit!

Day 12: your favorite human character that appeared in the game or anime

Day 21: gender swapping a yokai or human!

Day 26: you redesign a yokai’s appearance!

Day 27: your favorite yokai watch AU someone made! (Ex. nayuu’s Two Watches AU, purepea’s Lumi-Nate AU)

Day 31: draw and/or make a Halloween variant of a yokai!! Some yokai already have a Halloween variant like Venoct and kyubi so you can just draw them from the wiki if you don’t want to make a variant
