Chrysanthemum and Miyuki are super duper late, but they have arrived! Chrysanthemum tied her daisy-chrysanthemums to Miyuki’s plum blossom branches. They also brought a bare one to keep all the wonderful flowers they hope to receive~

How do you draw?

alwjskdnrekwn this has been sitting in the box forever bc I was going to show my process but I should just use words ahah sorry

I start with a thumbnail, or a very small and messy scribble to get the ideas down. It’s usually with pencil because I’m at school and/or just have more space to work with.Then I either make a cleaner sketch or snap a picture of the thumbnail with my phone.I open up Medibang paint, open a 500x500 canvas, and then import the picture. About an hour or so of grinding my thumb on my phone later and I’m done!

Oh yeah for brush I just use the default pen with the anti-aliasing turned off

I still need lots of practice with a tablet + my laptop, my mom doesn’t share her iPad + Apple pencil often, and I’ve been doodling on my phone for about 4-5 years, so that’s why I choose to do it this way. (“ ; v ;)

Hello fellow Pokemon blogs! 

A few mods, including myself, are putting on an event called the Flora Masquerade Ball! This event is open to all pokemon ask blogs and daily blogs!! 

This event will be running from February 18 - 24th. The location will be revealed in the invitation sent to your muse.

How does this event work? LIKE or REBLOG this post to receive an invitation from one of the mods, to which you can draw your characters getting ready for the dance. During the event, there will be multiple activities including a ceremony of flower giving, where your muse will exchange flowers with someone special. Afterwards, your muses can dance together, snack, or hang out by the punch bowl. Or even just interact with other muses, and get to know each other! You can have your muses go alone, or ask other muses to the ball. Feel free to wear anything formal, but you are heavily encouraged to bring masks to wear, as this IS a masquerade ball. 

REMEMBER to tag all your posts #floraball2017 so we can track the event. It’s all about having fun!

aight I did not see this spiraling into mini-drama here but I'm going to try to say something because I get how awful feeling inferior is. Making comparisons can be difficult to avoid when you do not have very much confidence or especially when you feel as if you are not doing as well as you should be and are letting people down (this is cliche but everyone grows at different paces and regardless of progress you are loved). This obsessive comparing is extremely tolling on you and not worth the energy at all. As long as you are not adamant towards recovering like I was for the past few years, things will get better (or not as bad as it usually is). It's not hopeless, I promise. There are people who do want you to feel your best and help you every step of the way and I hope you all have or will find at least one person like this in your lives. That being said, this whole big blog/small blog thing should not matter because like dailyflygon said, we're just a bunch of nerds drawing the Pokemon we love. My inferiority issues do lead me to assume ridiculous things like someone being more popular means that they're obnoxious and exclude others unlike them, but I don't get that with this community, even as a small, inactive, blog that is lacking in interaction (due to shyness). I've never considered myself a part of any communities before, but this one is extremely supportive and I want to at least protect that. tl;dr It's okay to feel down. We cannot control how we react to things, but we should not act on those feelings in a way that causes stress for others either. Instead, find a way to lift yourself back up without hurting yourself or anyone else.
