We distract ourselves daily with social media, entertainment, and mindless things, and all these distractions drown out God who is trying to get your attention. If we don’t take the time to be still and listen, God just might put a halt to whatever is distracting you. God wants to talk to you. Remember to make the creator of Heaven and Earth your #1 priority every day.

There are times when we feel we don’t measure up to tasks in life. Insecurities come out and we say, “I can’t do this, I’m not good with (insert your struggle here).” We fear that our limitations will prevent us from being able to accomplish what God has asked us to do for him. The thing is, God doesn’t care what our limitations are. He makes the possible out of the impossible. It’s not by our strengths that God accomplishes things, but by his spirit. David was small and weak compared to Goliath, yet he was victorious. Moses was not good with words, yet he led the Israelites out of Egypt into the promised land. God’s spirit has done great things through people with weaknesses throughout history.
No matter what excuse you might have, God always reassures us that it’s not who we are or are not, but who God is. Our abilities are never the issue, because God is always able to work through us to make the impossible possible.
June 6, 2018 Hope does not disappoint. When you experience problems, trials, and temptations, don’t fear that you are once again going up against them. Take joy that you are going through them. All of our struggles in life help us develop endurance, and that endurance will develop your strength of character. Don’t give into your temptations. No matter what your problem or temptation may be, God is always there through an opening to help you overcome every trial. Give joyful praise to the God who helps you endure your trials, helps you to succeed and you will know God’s never ending love for you.

The wonderful thing about God is that he uses people’s weaknesses and flaws to strengthen them. When we go through trials and temptations, we become stronger and God uses our new strengths to spread the good news and hope to a flawed world. Do not be sad when you feel weak in certain situations because no matter what you may be struggling with, God is always there molding you and strengthening you to persevere. For when you are weak, then you are strong.
“I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

We all face our own trials and temptations, and we can overcome them. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, water your life and drown out temptations of all kinds and you will find peace and joy through God.
