Ah man, I had fun at Galaxy Con this year. I went not expecting to meet anyone as lines are always long but I managed to greet four.

I'm a nervous wreck with meeting people in public. No problem when I work with customers though.

I still can barely get over meeting Derek Steven Prince years back. Him and the staff had waved off the person in front of me and literally every head turned dead smack at me. Felt like an episode of the twilight zone. I definitely flubbed over whatever I had originally planned to say.

Today, Chris saw an opportunity and threw me to Clifford's booth. Putting me on the spot had me turn beet red. He was sweet and tried making a topic of pokemon thanks to my ghost pokemon shirt. I didn't have much to say, looking back I wish I had at least spoke about Bakugo a little. I like other characters he also voiced but my mind was blank. Mentioned how Gengar and Chandelure were my favorite pokemon and he brought up how he is working towards perfect stat his shiny litwick in pokemon go.

We toured the dealers and struggled our ways through artists alley (would think they had learned from last year's of how tight those booths are)

Was surprised to find Taliesin Jaffe was free. I had to make split second decision...

Last year I got to see Laura and Travis but was unable to obtain autographs and my idea was to use the blank cards from The Mighty Nien tarot cards to sign for me and my irl bff. Since I didn't get theirs last year, figured I wouldn't be able to get the trio this year.

Yet, here I am.

So I found a group image of Vox Machina and got a copy for my friend and me. Taliesin was a pleasure to talk to, wish I could've said a bit more, like about Bells Hells and such. Hearing him with other fans, he sounded like he was having a blast.

Might as well try to get Liam and Sam right next to him.

Liam was kind, even shook my hand. I didn't have much to say and could tell the weekend had been long for him.

Then it was Sam... He was polite and a bit of that actor flair about him. Spoke briefly asking the general "enjoying the convention?" Didn't respond much with my reply.

It wasn't until I left the table did I realize my mistake....

"Where am I?"

I'm such an idiot...

I saw so starstruck by Taliesin that I fail to notice the character group wasn't from season 1... So there was no Scanlan... And Sam said not one word of it...

My hands were trembling for a good while after...

#con woes

Nothing like causally talking to a customer about what sounded like a misunderstanding only to realize, no, they're really that stubbornly dumb.

Smh

Got to mention about pennies and this lady brought up her father collects them and how she despises them. And that it's her father's fault there's a shortage. Thinking she was joking and myself being a casual coin collector, was trying to provide a different point of view, that depending on the years he is collecting, they can be worth much more because of the metals used. (My dad once needed copper and found the hard way that the more recently pressed pennies are metalloids with very little copper) She quickly cut me off. Stating her father now is collecting it spite of her but she plans to get rid of every last one once he dies...

I could only shake my head internally. The amount of hate from that last sentence hurt and I don't even know the guy.

One of my co-workers was leaving and I decided to draw her the "Mah-na Mah-na" scene since she would say it randomly with only me following with the response.

Last week's Ice

Around 8 Am with slight mist of tiny snow fall.

2 pm it finally starts to drop bigger flakes, looking like small balls on top of old ice. Slightly dusting on top of Jack.

A few hours laters

Jack checking out the scene at 7pm while getting 35 mph wind gusts. Randomly seeing a truck drive by.

F**king finally!

Been waiting on snow all morning but like Raleigh, we were stuck in a pocket with less than 0.1 inch of snow.

This is snow on top of last wee's ice.

I'm dead- Partner starts talking about my favorite characters over the years like he has mastered the code

"I see what the patterns are, first it was the daddy figure Vincent, then it was L-"

Vincent Valentine, the brooding undead guy that's been popular since 2007, being 'daddy' material!? XD

He later tried calling Clive AND Cid from FF16 'dilfs' like pffft- like only one of those fits the build.

Smh, there's only 2 older (late 30's to some 40's) men characters I've found interest in and that's in recent years lol. Dmc4/Dmc4 Dante and FF16 Cid.

Other characters I've liked over the years: L Lawliet, Kuroba Kaito, Bookman Lavi, Gilbert Nightray, Trafalgar D Law, England, Fai D Flourite, Katsuki Bakugo, Johann Faust 8th, Sven Vollfied, Shinra Kishitani, Mitsuru Hitokoe, and Marin Kitagawa

Now I think that's a bit broad list of personas there.

Came across these cookie tins. I like shortbread cookies but not enough to justify buying 3 tins just to have the Peter Rabbit containers.

I had gotten the Haunted Castle months ago. Went back and saw there was none left in the clearance. Low and behold, I found them today and had to collect the other 2. The boxes alone make me chuckle.
