“Well, I wouldn’t call myself a troublemaker! Just… some things are w-worth breaking the rules for, you know? Not all rules are good ones.” [She smiled at the other, letting out another, slightly mischievous laugh.]

Konoskri grinned. Now if this didn’t remind her of being younger…

“Finally, someone who agrees on that! Not even just rules, either. One time, back when I was in the royal army, I told the general that while I’d met a lot of pricks in my life, he was a cactus. Never seen anyone that angry!”

[Myla giggled a lot at that, though slightly confused,] “as funny as that is, um.. what- what is a c-cactus?”

She offered her hand once again.

“I’m pretty sure there’s a few further down into the area.. I can show you, but don’t touch them. They’ll hurt you. Alright?”

“O-oh, alright! A plant that hurts you doesn’t sound very nice, though...” [She frowned slightly as she accepted Konoskri’s hand, slightly skeptical about these ‘cactuses.’]

“Don’t worry,” she chuckled, “I’m a steady flier. I’ll stay near to the ground, if it’ll help.”

The light from the glowing crystals glittered off of her wings as they began to flutter. As promised, the flight was steady and careful.

[The little miner took a deep breath as they started hovering, letting out that breath as a relieved sigh when things went well. She stared in awe at the view, she had never seen things from this high up before, even if she wasn’t too far from the ground. She let out a nervous giggle,] “This.. this is amazing! you d-do this all the time?”

She laughed, then hummed a yes.

“If you’d like, I can take you up a little higher.”

She kept her head steady, eyes gleaming with joy that the little bug was so happy.

“J..just a little!” [She answered, grabbing on slightly tighter to her horns.]

With that, she rose slightly into the air, gliding over the platforms which lead down to Greenpath. The gruz and tiktiks wandered beneath, occasionally peering up in curiosity.

“How’re you feeling?”

[Her eyes sparkled with wonder, looking at the plants and the scarce bug or two wandering around,] “I.. I feel amazing! This is- w-wow!” [She let out another giggle, much less nervous than the first.]

She circled a few more times, before descending to the greenery below. Her pace slowed as they soared, and she bowed her head for Myla to get a better view.

“Tell me when you see somewhere you’d like to land.”

[dailymyla]

[She let out a gasp, looking at the lush area with excitement.] “This.. h-how can this exist? I-it’s so- beautiful and stunning!” [she watched the acid bubble, and the mosscreeps wander.. it was all so.. new. She spotted a bench on top of a platform and pointed up.] “Th-there!”

The landing was slightly jolting, and Konoskri smiled apologetically as she let Myla down onto the bench.

“Sorry, I’m a little out of practice when it comes to flying. I never used my wings much, and for quite a while..”

[She fumbled slightly to get her balance, even when sitting down. She giggled again,] “oh no, it’s o-okay! That was.. so much fun! Even better than sneaking into the mine carts when they send them off, haha!”

“Rather well! I’ve been exploring Hallownest and its new routes, although I have to admit that some of the rooms are a bit small for my liking,” she joked, gesturing towards the ceiling. Her head came just a little bit short of it even when she slouched over.

“Have you seen much of it?”

“Ah, not really. I stay in the m-mines, for the most part! This is where I’ve always lived, after all.. I’ve never felt the urge to explore, you know? and yes, I wouldn’t explore too far into the mine if that’s the case, it can g-get cramped really easily!” [She smiled and set her pick down, leaning it against the cavern wall.]

She nodded, deep in thought.

“Hmm.. if you’d like, at some point I could take you to see some places. Being able to fly, I can get around pretty quickly, so you wouldn’t have to be gone for any longer than you wanted!” She laid down- hunching over was beginning to hurt.

“Is there anywhere you’d like to see?”

“Really, you’d.. do that for me? I-I… I’ve heard that Greenpath is really pretty, and has lots of flowers.. We don’t get many plants here, y-you see-” [She laughed quietly, sitting down beside her.]

“Greenpath is beautiful,” she murmured, lost with a smile in thought. “Every part of Hallownest has its charm, but Greenpath is my favorite.”

She offered a hand.

“Care to go there now?”

“I-…sure!” [She answered pretty quickly, jumping up and grabbing her hand. She looked slightly nervous, but.. she wanted to see all the plants!]

Konoskri smiled, then helped Myla up.. onto her head? All I can say is it wasn’t dissimilar to the jagged crown from Skyrim.

“Stay in my crest, it’s plenty safe there. And perfect for your size!”
