Today I take it back to the beginning of my foray into soca. I fell in love with soca after hearing this song over and over while in Grenada last December. This song is like a drug to me, putting me in a euphoric state whenever it plays. It fixes all Mondays, and other down days.

The catch-up post - part 1 (Aug 10 to 13, 2015)

The origin of this tumblr was a request from a friend to move my daily soca posts from WhatsApp to a better archive where he could easily go back and find previous posts. After we got back from Crop Over, the tabanca was real and I was posting a soca chune daily to my travel buddies’ WhatsApp group. By the time I created the tumblr I had been posting for 8 days. Here is the “catch-up” list of chunes for that period, in reverse chronological order.
