league of villains' pokemon teams (bonus): hawks | takami keigo

technically not a league member anymore, but my ass couldn't resist giving him a team too. especially since his theme was so obvious - flying types! no way would hawks keep a pokemon who couldn't keep up with him in the skies.

skarmory was the first one that came to mind for him, since the steel feathers are probably the closest match you could get to fierce wings in a pokemon. the rest were just based on vibes and having the color red. i imagine all of his pokemon would go through rigorous, hpsc-endorsed training and market-testing before they'd be approved to show to the public, so aesthetic picks weighed heavier here compared to the others' teams. his entire team is carefully curated to match the "pro hero hawks" brand

league of villains' pokemon teams (8/8): spinner | iguchi shuichi

last one from the league is spinner! his team ended up kinda having two themes - 'before stain' and 'after stain' lmao. pre-stain, he wasn't much of a trainer (i picture him more like a pokemon breeder), so a lot of his mons were picked based off his personal affinity with them. post-stain, he went out to catch every single pokemon on stain's team that he could find, or were close enough to stain's pokemon.

his original starter naturally had to be treecko, as the wood gecko pokemon. but he ends up sending his honedge out in battles more often, since its more compatible with his own fighting style. he ends up switching between these two so often that the split attention causes tension. the two factions of his "original" team and the "newcomers" have all sorts of interpersonal drama that spinner's oblivious to

league of villains' pokemon teams (7/8): twice | bubaigawara jin

twice's team is probably the one that's most over the place lmao. i couldn't even give him a specific type. i went with a theme of pokemon with multiple heads or bodies instead. i felt like they would gel best with a guy who's split between himself too!

i do think the lack of cohesiveness ended up fitting twice better too. out of everyone in the league, he seems like the most likely to pick pokemon on a whim/vibes alone. his main partner is girafarig, bc i think its evolution is a good parallel to twice's own growth later on.

league of villains' pokemon teams (6/8): magne | hikiishi kenji

magne's team was probably the easiest to make, all thanks to pokemon having the ability magnet pull. the magnemite line was a sure pick for her team bc the combo of them having said ability + them matching her name was too good a combo to pass up. then i looked up which other pokemon could get magnet pull, and it pretty much filled out the rest of her party.

i imagine she'd probably own a lot of other pokemon as companions, especially cutesy ones. but these are the six she keeps on her at all times, since they're the ones who work best with her quirk
