Although my recent issue only recently printed, the toll on which the ball seems to have had on many, has condoned a more regular appearance. This week has brought many feelings, of which we have observed from members of the ton, and below.
As always, I write to share the comings and goings of many, to the delight of some, and to despair of many.
Our dearest Daphne seems to be lovesick, clearly Prince Luis has caused quite the stir. Despite the recent loss of his father, Prince Luis has wasted no time in courting Mis Pendlebury, being caught kissing in public as of late. A lovely display of affection. However my mind wanders -- how did he end up with a black eye? Perhaps we should ask Viscount Bridgerton, who appeared to support Daphne in her honour. This is both honourable, and idiotoc. Despite Daphne's woes, it was noted she was in attendance with Colby Ledger. Though, it needs to be noted , his tendency to indulge with women of the ton, having being spotted with Primrose and Grace, and perhaps more.
Dear Primrose appears to have a pick of two men, seemingly caught the interest of Owen Thornby. Though, his first love is back in town, perhaps this makes their love story more complicated? I do wonder if Delilah knew of Owens involvement in her previous proposal, encouraging his former best friend to do so, despite his love for her. Selfless acts, both sweet and rather unsettling.
Returning to Prince Luis sister, Princess Isabella. Whilst hurt by the death of her father, she has kept busy in the company of her brother's right hand Patrick. Rumours are easily spread, and the closeness certainly emphasises this. However, I did note jer closeness with Drew also, who knows what is to come?
Returning to the Pendlebury family, they have had their fair share of scandals. Starting with the oldest brother, Graham, his wife Aurora has returned. It is fair to say their marriage is far from smooth sailing, in fact, they appear to despise each other. Though, Graham's attentions seem further away. It was noted he entered Lady Eleanor's boutique and spent a long time there. I doubt he is in search of fine clothing, do you?
Now, onto the younger brother, Arthur. He certainly seems to have gotten himself into difficulties. Whilst Amelie was kidnapped, unbeknownst to him, he was indulging in his housekeeper Defne. Scandalous, and has certainly caused a lovers tiff. Though, we know Amelie has been rather close to new arrival Hamish. Those in glass houses, should not throw stones.
Remaining with our new arrival, Hamish seems to have a rather complex past. Do you think he's aware that his past is closer than he thinks? In the Cavendish Manor? The daughter in which he has been looking for, perhaps she is unaware her father is within reach. Perhaps fears arise when meeting a daughter of which , he will know nothing about.
Returning to the Bridgerton family, dear Benedict has returned from his art retreat. We dare not think of his ongoings , however, it was noted he was with Odette Reeves, apologising profusely for his manner in which he took her to bed. Trouble in paradise? Though, it seems more complicated, more than one woman in your life, it seems. He seemed rather flirtatious with Princess Ana.
Dear Francesca is also guilty for indulging. She was spotted entering the Sterling home, and not appearing for some time. We could begin to question your intentions, or your purity.
We also noted Colin and Penelope are newly courting, very sweet. Though has Colin waited too long? It appears she is in receipt of a few letters, from a certain Montague Harmon. Quickly now Colin, time may nearly be up.
Despite his foul play with Prince Luis, it appears that Viscount Bridgerton is rather smitten with Miss Kate Sharma. Do I sense wedding bells to come sooner than expected? Miss Sharmas younger sister also seeks love, which is closer than she think. Prince Friedrich is rather infatuated, seeing some sweet displays of conversations. I do hope to see them flourish further. Perhaps they will be courting within weeks?
His sister's, however are getting into their fair share of scandals. Beginning with Alexandra, caught cosy with dear Agnes , we did not realise that Agnes was that way inclined. It begs to wonder, does Libby know of this affair?
Her sister Florence is no angel, either. She was spotted with Drew Harmon, a little too close for comfort. Be careful, princess, your reputation will surely be tainted by a man whom is notorious for sleeping around. Rumour has it, her guard has returned to town, I do wonder how Lucas feels of this discovery? We know your closeness resorted in his departure -- will this happen again?
Our dear Mr and Mrs Harrington , Sophia was caught unwell in public. Does Hector know you sre expecting? Congratulations are in order! A baby is on the horizon! Who are we congratulating, Hector or did she resume an old flame?
We noted many new arrivals in the last few weeks. This includes Pendlebury friend, Leopold. It appears he has been close with this family. Does he know that Arthur was responsible for tarnishing his forbidden love life many years ago?
Grace and Nathaniel hold history, often indulging in a holiday romance. Frowned upon to be seen with a lady of her stature, do you not think?
Ayla and Theodore's are growing close. Her child has a sneaking resemblance to him, it's uncanny. I do wonder if he sees the res
Moving onto a different Theo, wouldn't want to mix up who the father is, now would we? Mai and Theo met for the first time in years. How will she feel if she knows the reason why?
As always, the ton has been flourishing with both positive and negative events. As a public service, I like to inform those who, are unaware of such scandals.
For I am sure scandals will follow suit, and for what is it worth -- i'll be watching.
