ok i have to talk about my deltarune theories i can’t keep quiet anymore
There’s a LOT relating to the depths, water, all that stuff, which is shown in these images
Plus there’s the fact the dark fountains look like steam/bubbles, the fish looking attack with the titan, undyne, undertales “It’s raining somewhere else” and then deltarunes “the place where it rained. We see ice skates in dess’s room. How does that relate? Well, the roaring knight poses like how an ice skater would,
There’s also the antlers on the roaring knight and the sword could be Dess’s bat. The song could be related to dess, even, as we know she played a lot of instruments due to the pile of them in her room and her guitar. There’s the “Copies are monochrome” phrase, shown with the goners-But gaster and the roaring knight are black and white.
With all this, i’d like to present my theory. Dess drowned in the lake during the winter after trying to ice skate, a copy of her being made by gaster, which is now the roaring knight. The roaring knight isn’t dess herself, it’s her COPY, a perfect, merciless, soldier that was once her. The real dess is the person who’s seemingly stuck inside the games code. Now, here’s the part where i’ll need to provide more evidence. Kris was a witness to dess’s death, and the art therapy is supposed to help.
Why do I think Gaster made her copy? The goners, which we can only assume were made by Gaster. If you take the one of the sprites of the Roaring knight “flickering” when their beaten, it can be turned into a spectrogram, which sounds almost exactly like Gasters theme. And, theres a theme of things being made anew. Asriel to Flowey, Spamton into Spamton NEO, and maybe even asgores intro being the exact same in both undertale and deltarune can be an example of this. So, the case could be the same with the roaring knight, Dess to Roaring knight.
Why do I think the person in the code is dess? During the part in the game where a hand just out of sight pushes kris backwards, there is a sound played at the lowest volume possible. If you turn it up, it’s the sound of a guitar string being pulled. Who had a guitar? Dess.
Why do I think kris was a witness to Dess’s death? The art therapy, their ties to the Roaring knight, carol and the forgotten man. Why do they have these ties? Because they were a witness to dess’s death.
Now, this leads to my next theory.
The snowgrave route is the REAL route.
We’re messing with the code, we were never supposed to find the “normal” route. In the prophecy it says “The queens chariot can not be stopped”, in the normal route the car stops because of traffic, in the weird route after you freeze all those enemies, you take a shortcut through the sewers to the queens castle. She never gets stopped in the weird route. if susie never came to school that day kris would’ve stuck with noelle. And, as we’ve seen, susie can defy the prophecy. susie makes decisions for us in the normal route (evidence she’s the real main character), but in the snow grave route, WE make the decisions, the player, like how a normal game is supposed to go. We’re killing all these monsters so Noelle can gain love, it says at the part in the prophecy “Love finds its way to the girl”, with the love noelle gains a soul like kris’s for us to possess, and the thorn ring is only a temporary leash on her. The soul becomes the permanent leash. during the snow grave route, at the part with the throne ring, there’s a few small red pixels when you put on the ring, which could be noelle’s new soul slowly forming from love from all the monsters she’s killed. in a part of the prophecy there’s a girl holding a sword with a soul in her chest, susie can’t equip a sword, but during the snow grave route, noelle can.
With Dess’s dialogue in the code, and everything i’ve just said, it’s reasonable to think that things are being messed with in some way by someone. But by who? Gaster. All roads lead to Gaster. Gaster is the one changing the route to the normal route, if he’s truly a copy of the forgotten man or vice versa, it would explain why he’s messing with things so we can find the egg rooms. Not to mention, you can’t get the eggs during the weird route. And why is he doing all this? Because he’s trying to find a better world for him to live in, to stabilize himself with after the original gaster in undertale fell into the core, creating the copy gaster (he’s black and white “copies are monochrome”), who has all these abilities BECAUSE of the core. This could mean the forgotten man is this worlds gaster.
