daisy always loved being the one to close her own bakery, she loved knowing everything was set and ready for the morning shift the next day and to be the one to balance the books. it wasn’t that she didn’t trust her employees, they were all lovely girls who were looking for jobs that worked with their school schedules; she understood that struggle better than most. If she was able to come in just to close and let them off an hour early then she would. her ear caught hold of the bells singing that the door opened and she let out a small tired sigh.
“sorry we’re closed.” in her mind she tried to remember if she had forgotten to lock the front door, she must have if someone had been able to get in. there was a slight sense of paranoia that didn’t allow her to look up right away in case she was being robbed but she forced herself to and her fear was quickly shaken off.
“Oh my god you scared me! I didn’t know you were coming in, you should have told me I would have saved you something.” she greeted her guest with a smile that radiated in the dim light bakery.
