being online is becoming.. such a drag. this used to be fun! this used to be so much easier for communities to build! to find art you like! I feel like I open my dumb little screen to write something or find inspiration and immediately enter an espionage scene with a room full of real red lasers in trying to avoid any contact with AI and ads and some horrible news headline and oh! some idiot is trying to convince me nazism had some points, though! and I scroll so quick around this shit and still get so laser-burnt up because my joints and dextrous spy flips and knee bending aren't what they used to be. every screen loves to serve me garbage. it's such a bummer! I open this dumb window to places I used to enjoy spending time on and now feel so gross!! I feel like I'm reaching back for something that is only an echo of what it was! where do we go from here!!
time is so fast and ungentle, but as I get older, so does he, and we’ll nap in the summer grass together. ❤️

people like the idea that there is an identity they can claim that will absolve them of the responsibility to examine their beliefs and actions and adjust them accordingly to better align with their values and desired outcomes but there isn't, we all have to practice humility and do the work regardless
Fall in love with someone who appreciates the “little things” in life. Like the blue of the ocean, the calmness of an empty sky, or going grocery shopping at 1am. Fall in love with someone who makes the small things feel like everything.
summer offers a blank page, where the story of childhood can continue, can be rewritten—this time with wiser hands.
