It is Commander Shepard refusing to see what a vulnerable state he’s putting himself in by being so open about his relationships.

I have no objection to his personal affairs, but he’s needed to save this galaxy. And revealing his every weakness to the public is not a good way to do so.

Ah, this is Paul Shepard? He’s hardly a representative of humanity. As difficult as it is putting relationships aside, I know what you mean. We have too many enemies who would not hesitate to use our loved ones against us.

I wouldn’t say all humans are naive. Some definitely are, but most I’ve spoken to are agreeable. There are a few who are especially so. I’d suggest giving them a chance.

I will agree I've gotten along well with some. Others have failed to see logic even when it's dangling in front of their eyes.

But I will do as you suggest, Kirrahe. You evidently know more about humans than I do.

See, I like you. You’re smart like Khalisah, but you have more patience than she did initially. I like making friends, Dalatrass. Call it impractical if you’d like.

We get that a lot. I’m not sure if that’s other species preconceptions about when humans first entered the galaxy, or it’s my species own preconceptions when dealing with other species. I’ve found that placing us in certain situations though, and we can all act pretty much the same way.

The salarian might logic himself to the conclusion. The turian might use military strategy. The human might use their heart in the conclusion. The krogan might mention something about honor, or bloodrage. 

Same decision. Different ways in arriving to it.

I'm surprised to say the feeling is mutual, Ms Goto. Perhaps we should speak more often.

That is often the case, but there are many times that our species have disagreed due to our different ways of thinking. Perhaps when the best decision is blatantly obvious we all meet it, but I imagine other races would have a different way of handling things. I should think if the turians had been the ones to uplift the krogan, they would not have simply used the Genophage to sedate them.

The accommodations are fine, Commander Shepard. It's the krogan that are not to my liking.

But I knew they would be on this ship, so there's little point in complaining.

((Can I just say NO NO NO to all of these? If I push a guy away, I sure as hell don’t want them pulling me back. That’s creepy as fuck and also completely NOT what I want. That is telling guys that even if you’re saying “no” and pulling away, what I REALLY mean in so-called “girl language” is “lol i’m only jokin bb keep manhandling me when i clearly don’t want it.” And if I’m hitting someone?
