It’s Mera , aquaman’s wife, as a red lantern in the blackest night storyline- one of the greatest comic storylines i’ve ever read. She’s a brilliant character and her part as a lantern of rage is just super cool.

Pop art inspired poster for ‘The Eleventh Hour’ - Matt Smith’s first full episode as the Eleventh Doctor. A zany, hyper and innocent version of the doctor that slowly grew dark and weary as he battled the horrors of the universe, the eleventh doctor is one of my favourites (although i do love them all ofc).

I didn’t have time to do inktober today (i’m planning a special one for todays theme that’ll have to wait till the weekend) so instead here’s a picture of a krillitane holding sparklers and a rat kebab that i drew at some point.

This image is semi-inspired by spite houses, which are deliberately ugly buildings created to lower real estate prices in an area.

Also i guess it is a little hello-neighbour-esque too.

Inktober day 7- Shy. The weeping angels- one of the most dangerous races in the universe. Psychopathic killers who can displace you back in time and eat the days you never lived just as easily as they can break your neck. 

But they always cover their eyes, at least at first. 

Maybe they’re just shy.....

Inktober Day 4: underwater. 

I take you to a little place called ‘Bikini Atoll’ , the least nukable place in the ocean.

Here is another one of my smaller clay projects that I did recently. 

I had been doing a lot of work with face moulds and decided i’d like to make something simple with them, and I thought a cool thing to do would be to make a partial face mask (I think I was partly inspired by Doctor Poison in Wonder Woman). 

I pressed clay into the areas of the face i wanted, allowed it to dry and then smoothed off the edges to get a more natural shape. 

I knew i wanted a contrasting paint scheme, So decided to go for a shiny black glaze with a matt white acrylic.

So Inktober day two’s theme is ‘Divided’, and to me the divide I have found to be most prevalent in my recent life has been the divide between those who voted remain in the EU referendum and those who voted leave. It is a sad fact that the referendum has left a deep divide in the country , which i hope one day can be healed. (What side I took is effectively irrelevant in this case).
