“Well? What are you waiting for?”

“So it’s.. a portal?” (Or a gateway maybe but she didn’t know of any portal’s that were so unnerving. Panda hesitated, looking at Zorc for barely a second before turning around to face the screen. 

Slowly she lifted a paw up to try and touch the screen but immediately pulled it back when he felt a cold tingle off of it. It didn’t hurt but it was icy and a lingering feeling of pins and needles crawled along the pad of her paw.

Whatever it was didn’t feel safe.)

“….Can.. Can I wait for Cy to come back?”

Zorc sighed and leaned back in his chair, turning away from Panda, “I should have known you couldn’t do it. Never mind, I’ll just tell Cy it didn’t work,”

(His answer didn’t inspire confidence in her but again, knowing Cy knew this was going on made her feel that bit better. Flinching as the screen lit up green she didn’t move but looked behind her to watch it changed to… whatever that was.

Squinting harder just in case the dark was playing tricks on her she could swear it looked like the screen was moving.)

“…W-Why is it doing that?” (Fur bristling her eyes flicked to the shut door and then back to the screen with a tremble up her back. )

“Isn’t it impressive? Cy made it for me, we have been perfecting it for a long time now.” he flicked on another screen on the opposite side of the room, “it’s a form of transportation. You walk through here... and you come out here,” he pointed to each screen.

“All you have to do is walk through for me,”

(If Panda were the sarcastic type she would have rolled her eyes at the concept of ‘trusting’ Zorc but as she was not it only made her more uneasy.She said nothing during the walk, nor when they entered the hacker’s room though she did observe how much more unsettling the room was without Cy actually in it.

As soon as she was set down on the table Panda scooted as far back as she could away from Zorc and squinted in the dark to try and make out something familiar about the room to put her at ease. There wasn’t anything.)

“Where’s Cy?” (Cy was part of this right? Why wasn’t he here too? She sat still as asked but just being close to the dark God felt suffocating.)

“He’s out on an errand, but don’t worry. We’re going to record the whole thing so he will be able to see how you helped,” or vaporised. One or the other.

He was clicking away on the keyboard, the screen behind Panda lit up with an ominous green glow and then faded to black, however, it didn’t look like the usual texture of a blank computer screen. The texture pulsed and throbbed in the darkness.

Zorc leaned down and grabbed Panda by the scruff of her neck and lifted her off the ground, “I’ll take you to it,”

(Legs curling up to her furry chest with a squeak her fur bristled around his icy fingers. Immediately she regret this.)

“I-Is the screen empty? How am I going through it?”

“Just trust me,” a short walk later they were walking into Cy’s home, Zorc kicking the door closed behind him.

It was always so dark in here, and he didn’t really do anything to fix the situation. Both he and Cy liked the lack of light, it seemed, a rare similarity between the two of them.

He walked into Cy’s study - a dozen flickering lights from the extensive computer set up.

He knocked over some energy drink cans and then placed Panda on the desk, “sit still for a moment,” she sat in Cy’s chair and crossed his legs.

( Her whole body went stiff at the baring of his teeth and in the corners of her eyes she felt tears threaten to well up in fear. She would have asked what he meant by Cy being a crow but it was better not to. Letting Zorc inside her head would only result in something awful.)

“Deal.” (A slow breath out and she willed herself to look at him properly.) “Where’s the screen?”

Zorc leaned down and grabbed Panda by the scruff of her neck and lifted her off the ground, “I’ll take you to it,”

“Cy asks me to hurt him every single day,”

WHEN.

“The way you walk, the way you talk. Everything you do is just screaming for me to hurt you,”

Zorc growled, “Cy asks me to hurt him every single day,”

(Flinching at the growl she reminded herself not to back down.)

“Then you won’t have any problem saying yes. If Cy asks you to hurt him fine but if he doesn’t or tells you to stop, you don’t and you stop immediately.”

Zorc bared his teeth, before his expression split and cracked into a smirk, “so many worms so desperate to protect Cy, with no realisation that he’s the crow in the garden. Fine. I won’t hurt Cy, but you’ll help me immediately.”
