Hi, myr here. This OC might not appear as the rockiest one oc wise, but ooc it was really a time behind the scenes at some moments, and I want to thank everyone for putting up with the good but also -and mostly- the bad times, and for bringing such great characters to this OC. I also want to thank my dear and amazing co-host who will soon replace me in Edinburgh - Elise you've done such a great job and I wouldn't want to co-host with anyone else. You zoom zoomed and handled host responsibilities while doing everything else like a champ, truly, and I love you so much for this, and for even more ❤️

I hope we've been able to provide everyone with interesting characters and interesting storylines that you have enjoyed taking a part in with your own ocs, and I can't wait to see what the next round has to bring us next.

C8 - El Finale

Hello folks we have f i n a l l y made it. Welcome to challenge 8, aka last dates for @s-morgan and @robin-loggedin !! This challenge will take place from 18 March 2122 to 25 March 2122 in the OC, and from 2 May 2021 - 12 May 2021 OOC, and will culminate with me posting a ficlet announcing the winner on 15 May 2021! Details regarding the layout of the final dates will be communicated via DM.

As for the situation with the south, the UN was able to help Illéa come to a peaceful-ish resolution, in which more of the demands of the south had to be met by Illéa, such as the gradual phasing out of the caste system and more representation in the government

It’s here, it’s ready to rumble!

It’s the entirety of the United Nations!

So, post attack (and three months after the conflict started, in classic UN fashion), the UN decides its time to intervene and help Illéa come to a ~ peaceful resolution ~

Due to most of the senior royals being unavailable (see list below), Damian and Eaton will be in charge of the talks with the South during the summit, the UN serving as a mediator between the two parties. The talks will be held in a conference center in Angeles due to the palace being in shambles to offer both sides a neutral ground.

A list of what the other royals are up to:

Maverick: shot, at the hospital

Peggy: she’s fine but obviously concerned about her husband

Ainsley: shot, in a coma

Lucianna: surprisingly acting like a mother and staying by her children's bedsides

Noelle: she’s vibing tbh

Spencer: injured, can't play basketball for months

OOC, this challenge will take place from 18 April 2021 - 2 May 2021. Within the OC, this challenge will take place from 1 March 2122 - 17 March 2122. The UN summit itself lasts from 10 March 2122 - 17 March 2122.

There are no required RPs this challenge, but here, have a little fun country crossword I’ve made.

There will be 5-6 eliminations at the end of this challenge.

The selection OC is back at it again—Edition 8. We’ll call it SOC8. For the sake of ensuring an easy transition for the hosts that follow (and with SOC7 ending in about 2.5 challenges) discussions of who will host next have begun. Last OC we only had two applications, which is usually as it goes. Since it’s unclear if this round we will get two (or more/less), we thought it would be best to post about the SOC8. It is in the talks by possible participants as a July event… but in the end it is entirely up to hosts. In order to give the hosts time to plan and for the current OC to wrap up, we’re trying to figure out when to start the applications for prince/princess—it could be very soon. To figure this out, we have made a poll (end of post).

This is mostly to figure out if there’s serious interest in hosting from more than one party. If not, the selection process will be very simple. This also allows the admin council to figure out certain periods/times for when to post host applications. If you’re planning to apply start thinking about that royal family!

Anyone interested in possibly hosting should fill this form out by Sunday, April 18 at midnight MST.

More information will follow once we get a good idea of who will be applying! Thank you for your participation!! :)

She’s finally here folks!! OOC, this challenge spans from 27 March 2021 - 10 April 2021. In the OC, this covers from 2 February 2122 - 28 February 2122.

So to set the scene, things are obviously tense with the southern provinces right now, and well, all things have to come to a head eventually. And a lot of animosity is aimed at the palace. So naturally what comes next?

(meaning: the southern provinces do not accept any the negotiation offers and are not about to give up on their independence, willing to go at war for it. And how do they decide to declare war? By attacking the palace because its dramatic)

RPs this challenge are NOT MANDATORY, however, they are limited - one optional group RP during the attack, and another optional RP after it. If you want an attack RP, please fill out this google form by 10:00PM Eastern US time on Monday! Also PLEASE indicate if you’re okay with group rps, as they are quite probable given the circumstances. We will randomise groups if there are more applicants than spots available, so don’t forget to ask for a second group if you really want a group RP!

Hi guys,

Due to busy schedules (thanks to school) and multiple still ongoing rps, we have made the decision to extend challenge 5.5 until next Saturday (27 March). We apologise for having another delay, but we don’t want to give you rushed replies to rps, or half-baked challenges. We can't wait for you to see what challenge 6 has to bring, but rushing into it now wouldn't make it enjoyable for anyone. Hoping you guys can understand, and are still having fun with this current challenge!

Can you warn us next time? No one knew what was going on.

Hi, Elise here! I’ll fully take the fall for not posting anything. Myriam hadn’t been online while dealing with personal issues, and while I still was online, I was fully a mess while dealing with my own things. Full disclosure here, I’m a collegiate athlete, and recently broke my foot, which I know may not sound like much, but I rely on exercise as a way to keep my head on straight, and without having that the past few weeks, coupled with me not about to continue the oc without my cohost, I wasn’t in any state to say anything. I was emotionally exhausted, stressing about trying to find a physical therapist during a global pandemic, dealing with insurance issues and my parents, dealing with my coach, trying to stay on top of midterms, and trying to keep things going as much as I could in the meantime. I genuinely am very sorry for dropping the ball here, but I needed some time to sort things out, and didn’t want to make people worry (and I’m sure Myriam can say the same for herself). If you have any further questions, please feel free to message me directly, as this is something I’d much rather hash out via DM as opposed to tumblr anon. Again, I really am sorry. Neither of us saw this coming.

Hey, Myriam here. As Elise said, I was completely offline for most of the week, which I'm deeply sorry about. I was in the middle of midterms (I got done only yesterday actually), and had to deal with serious things going on back home in France, and those two things alone made it impossible for me to deal with the OC, as I could barely maintain the balance between school and personal issues. I do not feel comfortable sharing what was going on in my family publicly, but I hope you can understand that being far from them with the impossibility to come back to help or bring support made it even harder for me emotionally and psychologically. There was only one thing I was in the capacity to keep up with as normally as I possibly could, and it had to be school. I'm sorry to have let you down as a co-host, and I sincerely hope that it won't have to happen again. It was an awful week for both Elise and I, and I really wish I could have been there for her, too.
