Honestly, he didn’t even really know what the product was just that it was expensive and people liked it. “Unless you’ve got some crazy elaborate white girl coffee order with like all the flavored syrups and shit than you might have a problem.”

“I am really leaning towards that, honestly.” Damien replied, knowing that then he could only blame himself if something went wrong with his coffee. “No danger in that. I drink my coffee more or less black for the most part. I just add a little bit of milk.”

“The Caledonia,” Cecelia said simply with a shrug of her shoulders. “And not by choice. My parents lose their minds when they see me walk in with a cup that doesn’t have our family’s hotel logo on it, so I’m forced to suffer and drink the bean juice that comes from our restaurant. It’s not terrible, but all it really is is black coffee. Sorry if that doesn’t help.”

“Well, I appreciate your honesty.” Damien replied, letting out a small chuckle. “I’m still trying to figure out how a coffee shop ran out of coffee. I am assuming your parents would never let something so foolish happen, right?” He added, feeling that it wasn’t rocket science. “Perhaps I need to just start drinking black coffee.”

They go for avocado toast, over priced pastries, and to flirt with the baristas.” Lucas scrunched his nose and shook his head. “Ah, nah. I usually make coffee at home. I can’t really afford to pay for it every morning.”

“I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if that were true. At least it would explain how they managed to let themselves run out of coffee.” Damien replied, shrugging at the man. It would make about as much sense as anything else. “Maybe this is a sign that I should do that too.”

“My thoughts exactly. Even when they re-open I am not going back there, because the trust is now broken.” Damien replied, not ready for them to betray him again. “I’ve had quite the morning trying to understand the whole situation.”

“My usual coffee shop was closed today. Apparently they ran out of coffee beans. How does a coffee shop run out of coffee beans? It seems that whoever was in charge of ordering them has been neglecting to do so for a while.” Damien said, letting out a small sigh. “Anyway, where do you get your coffee? I need some suggestions.”

Damien: Naming kids is a scary time.

Damien: Not a whole lot. I've got two days off this week and I don't know what to do with them.

“The good thing about tequila is that its a drink fit for every occasion,” Peyton smirked at the person beside her as she filled two rocks glasses on her bar cart with ice and let the golden liquid pour over them. She’d already rolled the rim of each glass with a fine layer of salt, the circular surface coated with the granulated sodium making for a fine chaser for the alcohol. “Not to mention, every emotion. It’s like a mood ring. How would you say you’re feeling?” The redhead asked as she held up a container of sour mix and triple sec. “A margarita night, an on the rock night, or if you’re feeling daring we can shots.”

“I’ve always been a rum boy myself, but I’ll play along.” Damien replied, letting out a soft chuckle. He was willing to drink most things. Damien watched her pour the drinks, enjoying her effortless she made it all seem. “I’m in a surprisingly good mood for once. I got a bonus at work, and that’s more than enough to celebrate in itself.” He added, feeling that things were going pretty good for him lately.  “I am a huge fan of shots, but we can do whatever you’re in the mood for. I’m not picky.”

Her secret wasn’t the worst thing to be outed for when comparing it to those that had already been brought to light, but it was still a secret. Her secret. The one thing Jillian had kept to herself for fear that those around her would call her out on her own bullshit. She placed herself onto a high pedistal, making it known that anyone who tossed themselves into another person’s relationship were trash. Trash for purposefully being the wedge that caused a rift in what could’ve been a happy relationship. But it had been due to her own actions. One thing about the brunette that no one knew, she had been that person. The other woman. The one who climbed into bed with another man for what? Love? The love he always claimed to have for her, but never enough to leave behind his wife. A sad reality. 

It was the text from the Peacher that forced Jillian Taylor to be at the Graveyard, taking shot after shot with hopes of numbing out her own feelings. Feelings of anger, regret, sadness from being thrown aside when the man no longer had any use for a woman like Jillian. “If you’re here to tell me to chill out, don’t.” Downing yet another shot, the brunette brought the lemon to her lips to drown out it’s bitter taste. “But, you’re more than welcome to join in. Damien had had a rough day at work, to say the least. He hated the days where he had to arrest people who were only committing crimes because of the fact that they didn’t have a choice. He understood that mind set, and he hated the fact that the law often didn’t allow those people the chances that they needed. Due to this, he had decided to stop through the cemetery and visit his grandparent’s grave. Sometimes he just needed a reminder that life was too short, and even on the bad day you should be grateful for the fact that you were still alive.

What Damien hadn’t expected was to see a woman drinking. Although, he couldn’t blame her because he was sure he wasn’t the only one who was having a rotten day. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the woman’s job. “You know, normally I really shouldn’t condone public drinking, but I am not on the clock and honestly I could use a drink.” He added with a small chuckle.

  I got way too drunk, and hated myself in the morning. And my parents grounded me.

  I feel my fear are all normal.

I was fourteen and stupidly got drunk off of my parents vodka, thinking that wouldn’t notice. Spoiler, they did.

vermilion: have you ever pulled an all-nighter? if so, tell us about the first time.

Plenty of times. The first time I was still living back in Toronto, and was working my first shift as a cop. It was exhausting. I’m used to it now though.

brick red: have you ever been in an abandoned building? 

  Yes. Abandoned buildings are a hot spot for crime.

carnelian: at what point did your life change without you realising?

When my at the time wife got pregnant. Both the first and second time. For different reasons.
