“One, yes I’m perfectly fine. And two, I know that asshole moved on. I mean yeah it’s been a month but I don’t care anymore. He can do what he wants.”
“ -- All I was asking is if you were in line -- But it is always good to know that you are perfectly fine, Abrams. Nothing bothering you at all.”
“Okay, it is way too early for whatever the fuck this is….”
“This -- is your nephew. I need you to watch him for twenty minutes --- Don’t look at me like that.”
“I bring sustenance. Just not the very healthy kind.”
“Isaiah ran a 104 fever, wouldn’t sleep-- been on the go since five thirty yesterday morning. He just finally went down, and I haven’t eaten in what feels like a week. Ask me if I care about what’s in the bag or not.”

Asher: what a lucky kid, he thinks it's one movie thats like five hours long
Damien: It matters as well be.
Text ✉︎ Damn you Evans
Avery: I thought that was implied? Oh please, you couldn't even if you tried. I'm fucking irresistible.
Avery: The world will be in chaos if you're captain America. Well, you tried.
Damien: Who the fuck told you such bullshit?
Damien: Ha, ha.

Asher: I have seen Finding Nemo at least twenty times this weekend. Tristan wants a pet clownfish.
Asher: someone save me
Damien: Mine is Toy Story. 1, 2, and 3. I don't think Isaiah can tell the difference. He just sees the same characters, I'd advise alcohol.
Damien: But especially for Finding Nemo.
Text ✉︎ Damn you Evans
Avery: Damn, I didn't fucking sign up for this. That was your trick, wasn't it? Have me fooled and now I've been stuck with you for god knows how many years.
Avery: I don't know what you're talking about. I'm a perfectly calm person, I don't hulk out on people. Do you even know me anymore, Evans? Huh, do we ever lie to each other? I don't think I've ever took notice of that.
Damien: Where in the contract did you read otherwise? No, really, tell me, where? Hey, that's your fault. I could've taken or left you to be honest.
Damien: yeah? And I'm captain America. So just me, then? Huh, never picked up on that. Oh well.
“More like, please get the fuck out. Does that indicate manners and politeness to you?” Esther was always snarky and bitter, she always liked it that way and hated admitting when people were right. “I think there’s some in the brewer. But like I said, we’re closed and I don’t have to actually serve you.” She turned to walk back to the counter, mostly to hide the small grin that came upon her lips.
“Yes.” Damien answered after a second, before he gave her a shoulder. “But that’s because I react better to those particular words. But that’s just me.” Before Damien left it there, he decided to pick at it a little more, “And please still adds a level of politeness to the statement. Axe that. It’s off putting.” Damien cocked a brow as he watched the woman make her way to the counter, “I’ll serve myself, but you might not want me behind that counter of yours. Your choice.”

Avery: Isn't that what you're here for? To listen to me complain?
Avery: As much as I would've like to, I had to be back for work so...I didn't want to get kicked off the plane. And who the hell do you think I am, Evans? I don't go punching /everyone/. You make me sound like I have anger issues or something.
Damien: No, I'm here for just about anything else other than that. Not here to please your ass.
Damien: Are you saying that you don't? Is that what this is? We're lying to each other now. Ha, we've been doing that our whole lives, so - okay, fine. Sure.
Afraid of the Dark | Open
Kendall’s paranoia was her worst enemy, and in being as such – had gotten much worse since moving to Savannah. Even in times during work hours, she played it off – her habits into lying, into keeping things hidden had gotten so well, but then – in the dark – it was always different. The dark scared her, brought out secrets she swallowed so long ago. She feared what would come up behind her constantly walking around with a chill running down her spine. Fear changed her. The persona she laid out so well written, she deserved an award for it. And standing there, gun raised, flashing the light into the eyes of the stature that definitely stood much taller than her, the blonde held her breath. A resounding habit that she’d sunk into the last few years. Teeth sunk into her bottom lip, recognizing the man before her, but it didn’t stop her from lowering the gun. Not yet. There was a moment that Kendall needed, the moment to regain composure, to draw that sly smirk back to her lips and become the stone-cold CSI she’d been thus far in town. Storing the revolver back into her holster, clicking the flashlight and pocketing the device, she shook her head slowly.
“Tiger?” She repeated, brows up, the urge to roll her eyes given into easily. A hook into the strap of her bag, weight hanging heavily on her side, as she hoisted it up her shoulder, securing it’s position. “What the hell are you doin’ out this late – and sneakin’ up on people, no less. You’re this close,” She gestured with her thumb and index finger, closing the space between them slowly. “T’ getting’ punched in the face by a Texan. Ain’t nobody proud t’ say they’ve had that.”
Damien stood focused, the burrow of a gun in his face. His hand lower, but he didn’t flinch. He didn’t even feel nervous to have the loaded weapon pointed straight at him. For most people that would’ve unnerved them, even if they knew the person pointing it at them, it would’ve made them nervous to know if they would or would not. Damien wasn’t scared of that, maybe because he knew the feeling. The feeling of being shot, he knew the pain, and it wasn’t that bad. That was probably a tale-tell sign that something was wrong with him, most would experience trauma with weapons. Then again, he was never afraid of dying, he hated the thought of leaving Isaiah behind, but the actual act of death never scared him. So, he stood -- staring, waiting for her to lower the weapon, because he knew in fact that she would. When she did, he didn’t feel anything -- not relief, not fear, nothing.
“It’s better then the alternates I had in mind, Kennedy.” He told her, a slight smirk crossed his features as she began to question him, a cock of his brow following. “I needed something from the office, figured I’d come get them, and then reward myself with a drink.” It seemed that when Damien didn’t have his son, he was deep in work or at a bar. Guess it helped, with the voices, and restlessness. But that was nor here or there. “Anything else you’d like to know?” The smirk darken on his features as the blonde spoke, “Night’s still young, Ken. Always wanted to go a round with you, so. Who knows? Maybe, no weapons though.”
