He is a baseball player right? I hope I didn’t get the sport wrong. But it’s good that he will be around. Do you ever travel with him? And Maxen is great, So is married life.  Maxen will be Co-Owner of the bar as well.

Football, the Browns. I haven’t gotten to do a lot of that yet. Too much work at the moment, have to pay the bills and all that. Also, I’ll admit the football scares me a little. I have a hard time watching the games, thinking he might get hurt. So I’ll just have to call you Boss #1 and him Boss #2.

Ryder: Dream car. I'm in my mid-20's and have a lot of money, so why not? You would look badass on top of a motorcycle, babe. And really hot.

Ryder: Yeah... I don't have the best track record with those, but I'm working on it. I'd like to think I'm more careful, and that my offensive line is better than they were, but that's hit and miss. I worry about missing you too much as well, and then I think I do. But I would never cheat or be unfaithful or break up with you just because of the distance. I want to make things work.

Kiv: What's the dream car look like?

Kiv: I've been saving up... I thought maybe I'd go look at some bikes soon. Already know how to ride 'em, so it's just a matter of choosing. Wanna come?

Kiv: I've never once worried about being cheated on. And you know I wouldn't cheat on you. I may have a shitty track record in relationships, but I've never cheated... I've just known a lot of fuck and runners, you know? But you're not that guy and I'm not that girl. I don't worry.

Ryder: I love that he did all of that for you. And I'm glad he walked you home from the bar. I wished I had been around to do that. I want to get a car. Then I can pick you up in said car.

Ryder: That's complicated. Yes and no? I'm not necessarily worried, I just... I want you to know that even though I'm gone doing my thing, playing football that I'm still yours.

Kiv: This going to be a used car or a dream car. Either way, I'd never say no to a ride. I've been thinking about getting something... Maybe a motorcycle?

Kiv: I don't worry about you.

Kiv: No, that's not true. I worry about injuries. I worry about missing you too much. I *don't* worry about you being unfaithful or dumping me or something.

Ryder: Shit, I'm sorry babe. We should go shopping so we can get you one.

Ryder: He really is. I love him so much.

Ryder: No, you never did! He probably was, and I appreciate him doing that.

Ryder: At least we have these next few months together before I have to leave again. You know that I'm yours completely, right?

Kiv: Any excuse to spend more time with me, Ry? :P

Kiv: He'd bring over a meal and eat dinner with me, see how I was doing. I think he wanted me to know he was here for me. And he has been... even walked me home one night when a guy was being skeevy at the bar.

Kiv: Yeah... Do you worry about that?

Ryder: Aww. Babe, why didn't you bring a real jacket? Do you own one?

Ryder: I'd love to warm you up.

Ryder: Nope. He basically lets me do whatever I want. I love him so much. He's asleep anyway.

Kiv: I owned one... It got knicked from the bar one night. Haven't replaced it, but I will.

Kiv: He seems like the best kind of family. Supportive all the way... Never a question of where you stand with that guy.

Kiv: Did I tell you he used to bring me meals sometimes while you were gone? I think he was checking on me for you. Wanted to make sure I was okay.

Kiv: Chilly. Sometimes a leather jacket's no replacement for a real jacket.

It's illegal when the daily high is below freezing... If this were January, they'd be breaking the law. You could call 'em and pretend you've got medical equipment in the house. Sometimes that keeps shit on for awhile... if they think someone's gonna kick the bucket without.

I feel like a new introduction has been long overdue. Hey most of you know me as the guy who owns Duel. I’m Stephen, and if you don’t know what Duel is, you should really come and check it out. It’s a nice little bar ran by me and just recently my husband, Maxen. Anyway, I’ve lived here for over two years and I love here. So if you don’t know me, don’t be afraid to get to know me, and if you do know me, I don’t mind get reacquainted with you.

He lifted a brown but inclined his head as if to say touche. She was right, some people did take it a bit far. He was one that could, though he preferred to run on the real ground and not at artificial speeds. It was the weights he was looking for in the gym. “I did a few,” he said with a shrug, “it’s not easy to tattoo yourself though. I did all my piercings, though.” He glanced back at the shop as they walked. “Yeah, it’s mine.” He was damn proud of it. “You should stop in and check it out.” 

"I meant more... did you design them yourself? But I bet you've met some pretty epic tattoo artists in your day. Probably have some amazing work hiding under those clothes." She realized she sounded like she was flirting, and that wasn't her intention at all. "I've got a few tattoos, but you know how it is... You always want more. I'll be by... When I can afford it." She worked two jobs to pay her rent, and while she felt pretty comfortable with the money she pulled in, she didn't always have as much disposable income as she'd like. Stopping on the corner, she pointed toward a nearby building. "Gym's right there. Entrance on the other side, open late but not 24 hours."

“Thanks,” he said his eyes instinctively glancing down at the ink that was visible. There was so much more hidden from view, but he didn’t say anything about that. “It’s not a place of worship, why is it going to burst into flames?” He asked as he stood. His 6′2 frame stretching for a moment before his limbs settled into place. He had a bit of time before his next appointment. He could risk the guided tour. “I would appreciate it, truthfully.” 

“Are you sure? I’ve seen some of the gym bunnies that spend their time in that place... The treadmill is totally their Lord and Savior.” Watching him stretch, she studied what she could see of his ink and grinned. “Did you do any of that yourself? If you did, I’m gonna have to make an appointment.” Gesturing toward the building, she added, “Unless this isn’t your place.” Nodding in the direction of the gym, she began to lead the way.

Excellent question. I guess it depends on how much of our time we’d like to spend staying in... I’ve got plans for that. Not that we can’t go out a little too.

On his lunch break, Ronan sat outside the shop, the warmth of the sun coloring his ink-stained skin. It was slightly too warm in the sun but the shade still stung, the taste of winter in its bite. He glanced up, eyes squinting against the flair of the sun. “Hey,” he said as someone past by, “You wouldn’t happen to know where the gym is around this town?” He was pretty new to town. He’d had enough time to set up his shop and the apartment above for use but now he needed to get to know the people and the layout of the town. 

Kivrin had just crossed the street, hoping she could extend her break just a little bit longer and grab a coffee up the road. They were sticklers at the book shop, and she much preferred tending bar at night, but money was money. Smiling down at the guy as she passed, she stopped at his question. “Nice tats,” she offered. “And yeah, there’s a gym. Might catch fire if I step into that place myself, but I can show you the way if you’re up for it.”

So I have a date tonight and this person wants us to go see Black Panther for our first date, and that’s cool and all, but going to a movie is never really a good first date. What should do?

Movie dates can be alright if you’re gonna be having a meal after too. Is it just the movie and nothing else, or will there be time to talk at some point?
