The grace period is usually in between the time your bill’s due date, and the time you get your final notice. I hope it wasn’t your electric bill because it’s too cold to be without.

Yeah, I made sure I stressed that point when I cursed them out over the phone. It was and that made me even more furious.

Been there before. And they don’t care, they will definitely shut it off. but sometimes if you call before the deadline and plead with them, they will give you an extension. But when it shut off, they will just say there is nothing they can do and hang up. Were you able to get it back on?

I got them to put it back on, a threat of a lawsuit usually does the trick. I never got a final notice, and it’s way too fucking cold for me to deal with their bullshit.

It’s illegal when the daily high is below freezing… If this were January, they’d be breaking the law. You could call ‘em and pretend you’ve got medical equipment in the house. Sometimes that keeps shit on for awhile… if they think someone’s gonna kick the bucket without.

I called my landlord and threatened to sue since I never got a final notice. Took about two hours, but they got it back on. Still furious though, I spent way too much time loitering stores to keep warm.

It feels weird being back. Coming off of my long sabbatical, and not much has changed. I do feel like a different person though, so that’s something. Anyway, I’m Miguel for those of you who don’t know me. I’m an officer of the law, and an all around good guy. And if anyone is up for getting a few beers sometime, let me know.

I missed paying my bill by thirty minutes and my power was shut off. I thought there was a grace period for this kind of shit.
