The process of flying from Baotou to Beijing

6:30am - Interpreter comes to my room to take my passport and suitcase, to check in at the airport, so we don’t have to do it ourselves.

7:30am - Private bus leaves hotel. Escorted through the city to Baotou Airport. Police at intersections holding back traffic. Green lights all the way.

7:55am - Arrive at airport. Greeted by government officials. Escorted to VIP lounge area. Passports returned, with boarding passes. Bypassed check-in, queues etc..
