Why must you be such a poorly coded game that I’m forced to play vanilla on one of my machines? Fail sirs, fail. And by the same token, damn you for being so poorly coded that modification is required to eke out a decent basic playing standard!

But seriously, same patches and same mods on both computers, and one has decided that something doesn’t work. That’s smooth, EA, smooth. ¬¬
