The BAD4 scenes in the new update really was just watching Licorice be a bitter ex because Red Velvet left them and then attempting to rebound by replacing him with Crème Brûlée

Very minor part 1.5 or whatever of my post about Licorice’s room as a Dark World but it’s very important to mention there would be a joke in some optional room where you find the titular CRK crown but before you can obtain it Toby Fox comes out of nowhere looking like this-

Licorice Drop Cookie and Licorice Twist Cookie! Not a lot of deep lore going on with these two just two cookies with pretty average lives :)

Licorice Tribe members from like however many hundreds of years ago, they lived during the era of the kingdom before the Licorice Sea got infested with monsters. Since the sea was actually Normal and all that, the Licorice Tribe was doing pretty good and were notorious for their fishing

Licorice Drop is a musician playing the bipa throughout the tribe and making trips to the citadel to play for everyone there. She especially likes to visit to go see her friend Licorice Twist! She wears an octopus beak on her necklace cuz she once caught an octopus during a fishing competition and she thought it was cool so she took the beak to wear as a souvenir

Licorice Twist is a warrior in at the citadel and has trained to be an archer! He’s got a pet licorice crow as his awesome little buddy pal that follows him around and is a good messenger bird. Makes it very easy to send messages to Licorice Drop when they’re apart!

The patterns on Licorice Drop and Licorice Twist are scars! Their tribe practices scarification, having many patterns of scars on their bodies, either just for general aesthetic reasons or for more specific meanings. Priests will do to better connect themselves spiritually to the sea, warriors tend to do it as a show of their strength and resilience.

Ok so when I said I was gonna do something very Deltarune to Licorice’s room I made a bunch of Darkners based on his room

I guess this is an AU of sorts and also in this supposed AU my OCs would also be Darkners here but this particular post is not about them! 😁

Maybe there will be a follow up post about that but for now take a whole list of other Dark World residents here

Spellcaster: egotistical spell books usually seen bickering with each other over proving they are the best wizard in the group. Easily swayed by praise and easily jealous when a different Spellcaster is getting praise.

Book Wyrm: paper serpents who love to write, they even have a built in fountain pen on the end of their tails to write with. They love fanfiction and will write rpf wether it’s of Lightners or fellow Darkners.

Wikz: candles that come in many shapes and sizes, they are used to light up various places and can also act as maids. They are not very good at that job though… they keep leaving wax everywhere..

Skele-ton: bones and skeletons that tend to come in packs. One Skele-ton is just a Skele, two of them would be Skele-two, and then Skele-three, Skele-four…

Kittink: cat shaped ink blobs! Are sometimes kept around as a source of ink for others, they do not mind though this is their enrichment.

Buddy: straw dolls usually stationary as most are stuck onto poles or ropes and various other places. Literally a punching bag they are constantly getting injured in some way or another. Why do some of them enjoy this…??

I did a lineup of the other prominent Licorice Tribe Cookies in Darkest Days!

Licorice Twist Cookie:

The current leader of whatever tribe members survived their village's collapse. He led the remaining cookies into the mountains and turned completely to banditry to care for the wounded and sick members of their tribe. A bit reckless, but quite strong, he once dreamed of becoming a warrior.

Relationship w/ Licorice Cookie:

(Past) Dislike. He often felt jealous of Licorice for getting attention from his grandmother, Elder Licorice Cookie.

(Current) Indifferent/concerned. He'd welcome Licorice back to the tribe, but that doesn't mean he won't have some choice words for the guy. After all, he disappeared without a word for years to study magic.

Elder Licorice Cookie:

A stern older cookie who aids her grandson in leading the tribe. She manages their camp and tends to the wounded, often lamenting the missing and crumbled. With her guidance, the tribe has remained hidden in their shelter using their common scare tactics to ward off curious cookies. If she ever gets to meet Dark Cacao again, she has some colorful words for him.

Relationship w/ Licorice Cookie:

(Past) A bit maternal. Since he had no family, she often looked out for him when she wasn't busy with aiding the rest of the tribe.

(Current) Concerned. She hasn't seen him in years and worries if he's even still alive.

Licorice Cream Cookie:

Y'all have probably seen her already so I'll be quick. A marine biology student from the Licorice Tribe who thought being able to study and understand the Licorice Oozelings would be able to lead them to better containment and help change the negative opinions other tribes have of her. Unfortunately, she returns to an empty, ruined village.

Relationship w/ Licorice Cookie:

(Past) Dislike. She found him a bit rude and scary as a child. It didn't help that he tried to claim ownership of her bones if she crumbled.

(Current) Mixed. On one hand, she's so happy to know he's alive and well, but he does trick her to access important information.

Salmiakk (Cookie form):

A felled priestess from the Licorice Tribe. Despite her wounds, she's still alive... In a way. Salmiakk Cookie sacrificed her own crumbling self in exchange for the power to defend her people. Though she couldn't save them all, she allowed the rest to escape. Now she acts as a vengeful entity, using her cookie form to draw out those who wronged her and her kin. The arrows in her back are still there from the day she lost her life, though it's only because they were too hard to reach!

Relationship w/ Licorice Cookie:

(Past) Familiar. They weren't super close, but he was often fascinated by the magical aspect of their rituals so she would let him watch her work.

(Current) Aside from her likely feeling protective, she probably won't recognize him beyond knowing he's from her tribe.

I should talk about my OCs more here I forget I can just do that,,,

Black Knight and Conjurer are an interesting duo, they were the first two created by Licorice and they contrast each other so much

They’re like the angel and devil on Licorice’s shoulders. Black Knight of course being the angel, he’s got better morals going on compared to the other two and tries to steer Licorice into being less of a dickhead. While Conjurer is always encouraging Licorice’s worst attributes and being his helping hand in achieving success in their villainy

Even their roles are very different, Black Knight is well- a knight, and he’s not good at magic. Conjurer is a mage the same way Licorice is and excels with magic

At least the two of them can agree on having Licorice’s back at all times
