hi, i was attacked with a weapon a few days ago and nearly lost my eye, without going into detail it was domestic violence and will probably be charged under aggravated assault with a weapon with intent to cause harm among other things since she attacked other people (without a weapon), screamed death threats, destroyed some of my stuff, and put my bird's life in danger.

i don't know if i'm going to press charges, i fucking hate talking to cops but i don't like my life being threatened a whole lot more. the cops got called by someone else so it's on record either way. if she had the chance i'd be dead, i have a black eye and several open cuts on my eyelid/nose/brow, there's gonna be scarring and the knowledge that i purely got lucky with regards to the type of weapon she grabbed is kind of weighing on me.

can i please get some money to go visit my sister for like a week, the person in question is in voluntary inpatient right now but i don't feel safe due to her having equally violent friends down the road from us and she's gonna have to come back to collect her things at some point anyway.

it's gonna be several hundred bucks (aud) since the cheapest option is to book a round flight (i live 10ish hours away in the middle of nowhere so gas would be more expensive) and i need money for food etc during that visit too. i just need to fucking get out of here for a bit, my mother is defending this person and her actions so i don't feel very safe.

if it means anything i'm a homeless trans person of colour in the middle of the outback so i'm not particularly safe here even outside of the current happenings.

hello all! after 10 years of remission my dad was diagnosed with hodgekin's lymphoma for the second time in his life this august. since his diagnosis my family has been hit by every fucking roadblock and bad luck thing imaginable.

our insurance has decided to make everything we do incredibly difficult and my mom has been fighting for his proper care non-stop. our disability was denied because his work had accidentally been paying him full pay while on leave and now the state wants us to pay back 10k even though it was his company's mistake - or else no disability (we're going to petition this)

he's been suffering from symptoms from his chemotherapy such as intense body pain and deep neuropathy and a hernia (which needs to be removed by surgery but cannot while he's on chemo) alongside a slew of other problems. no amount of pain medication has been really helping and it's been really really awful.

we've been trying really hard to keep things all together but my mom is the only one working who makes enough to pay bills and it's just. really tough.

Help a trans couple get an abortion!

We are a non binary lesbian (me) and a trans lesbian couple, and we are currently pregnant and cannot afford abortion. It's taking a horrible toll on us as it makes both of our dysphoria almost unbearable honestly, and you can imagine why. My girlfriend is struggling with self blame on top of it and it tears me apart to see her like that. It makes us feel awful that we are in this position to begin with, especially as we are both super dysphoric and couldn't afford transition, and now it feels like our bodies are punishing us even further due to the way dysphoria expresses itself for us.

On top of that, we live with my conservative parents (we aren't out to them) and they know I'm pregnant and they're threatening to kick us out if we get an abortion. I feel like I'm having a mental breakdown every day living in these conditions and with this body, and I'm struggling so bad seeing a way out.

Please, if anyone could help us with the cost of abortion and removing ourselves from my parents, it would mean so much to us! We are poor but we are both working, we just need an extra boost for a little while so we can survive without my parents. Please reblog this if you can!

URGENT!! Help me survive before and after a kidney transplant

Hi. I’m Jay, and I’m a black, disabled non-binary lesbian and my best friend, who is my caregiver, is a white Latina woman.

On May 28, I go in for a kidney transplant due to chronic kidney disease and being on dialysis wouldn’t sustain me anymore. I currently have bed sores due to being completely bedbound from an infection. My whole care team is saying I need a hospital bed with a medical grade mattress that relieves pressure sores. The thing is we don’t exactly have $4.5k laying around and we need it fairly quickly as my bed sores are worsening by the day and they are worried about infection of the sores and then sepsis (a blood infection that you can die from).

So this mattress will quite literally save my life

Recently, we lost another sister to violence.

Ashley Burton, a stunning 37 year old trans woman, was found shot to death in an apartment complex within the city of Atlanta, Georgia. She was discovered on April 11th. Her death has been ruled as a homicide.

Ashley absolutely did not deserve the violence committed against her. Sadly, she’s also not the only one.

Within the United States, several polls and reports have been conducted regarding the violence that trans folks face. Over several years of these being conducted, a continuity is found. That being, trans women of color make up the majority of victims affected by violent crime. Black trans women in particular, are the demographic that is most likely to be affected. The most recent report I could find stated that black trans women made up 63% of violent deaths. This number has likely gone up, considering the state of this country and the deaths I have seen reported this past year. Black trans women also face the intersection of being disproportionately affected by gun violence.

It seems that no matter where black people are, we are always at the bottom. There are massive protests and vigils held for trans victims of violence that are white (as there should be!), yet black trans peoples memories are only allowed to live and quietly die within a paragraph on a local news website. I feel that this is absolutely steeped in racism and transmisogynoir. @soulbunni on twitter has a poignant commentary regarding this disparity.

With the horrifying amount of bills passing through states right now, and spreading through the rest of the country like a disease, we need to keep in mind the overlap between where most of the black population is, and it’s in red states. I’m begging white trans people to advocate for their black siblings. I’m also begging cis black people to put an arm out to protect black trans women in our communities. This includes those of us that are TME!!!!!!!

Ashley still had a beautiful life ahead of her. She seriously didn’t even look close to her age! Even though there’s not much information about her right now, I hope we can learn more and continue to value her memory. Ashley, you deserved the world. Rest in power 💕🏳️‍⚧️
