The sign of a good run! They weren't this colour when I left. #runtagit #ukrunchat
Delighted to be out on the run discovering new routes again! #runtagit #ukrunchat
Lovely, if a lithe chilly...
Stunning work, as always.
2016: A year on the run
I’m starting to lay out my runs for the year ahead.
I did this last year, there a load of the events got cancelled and I got shin splints. The rest of the running year hasn’t been great, so I’m now putting that behind me and looking for a decent pair of trail shoes.
Reckon I’ve got the first six months sorted. This year I’m planning to try more local, off-road routes and events. Fortunately, there are some crackers pretty much on the doorstep. This year I’m shooting for these:
- 3 January, Gibbet Hangover Challenge, 10 miles
- 3 April, Combe Gibbet to Overton Challenge, 16 miles
- 19 June - Hampshire Hoppit (Marathon)
At some point I want to try out hashing. Richard Askwith wrote about it Running Free and it sounds great fun. I’ve found at least one group nearby, so I’ll give that a crack.
I’m also still planning to run Suilven, but I’m still looking for a willing partner or two. I’m not going to run it fast, but I’m not keen to fly solo on that terrain especially as there’s no event. Fancy it? Let me know.
Oh, this looks lovely. Yes please!
I'll never tire of running on Greenham Common #runtagit #ukrunchat #runblr
Take a look at @gpwhyte's Tweet:
A long morning run after the night before. 11 miles plus, with more than a hint of orange along the way. #runtagit #ukrunchat #runblr
Today's ten miler was nowhere near as photogenic as my last long run, but entirely because of the preponderance of cack weather. Otherwise, the endorphins are now fully engaged! 😀👍🏃🙌#runtagit #ukrunchat #runblr
Awesome autumn run #runtagit #runblr #ukrunchat
Choices, choices. There was a third option too. New route explored, bigger running ground uncovered. Love excursions like this.
This looks lovely. I’m wondering if I can get here AND Suilven in one trip. Lots of running but I’ll not get out there again for a while... http://wildrunning.net/inveroran-kinlochleven/
My UK running bucket list has been written for me!
I've not got into the London Marathon again, so I'm taking this route to plan my running challenge for 2016. More to follow!
