WOULD YOU LIKE A TOUR experience - @drake with @theweeknd

November 6th 2014 - I still remember that day as it was yesterday. It was on a Wednesday, a Wednesday which changed my life.

That’s when I decided to get my ticket for the WYLAT concert in Paris!

Lemme being honest, being a huge fan of the Weeknd AKA Abel Tesfaye, I promised myself from the day I discovered him that I would see him perform live if he ever came to Switzerland or France and here I was, reading that article saying that Drake would be in France on Feb 24th & 25th for his concert along with The Weeknd who would do the opening act.

My heart couldn’t stop beating so fast, it was a huge opportunity for me. It took me two days to decide if I should go to the concert or not because I’m from Switzerland and the concert was in Paris. I was scared of people’s reaction, and confused because at that time I was like ‘this will be my 1st concert and there will be so many people, am I good enough to be there with all the other fans ?” But then I just listened to my heart and I said c’mon be crazy take this as an early gift for your 20th birthday!! And I GOT MY TICKET!!!

I couldn’t believe that I had my ticket in hands, that was more than a ticket for a concert, it meant happiness to me!

So from November to February, it was all about excitement & patience in my mind… And of course, my admiration for Abel kept getting deeper!

I had plenty questions in my mind but I knew something for sure, something unforgettable was about to happen!

February, 23th 2014 :

I was finally on my way to France! I met my lovely friend Lalie, who is one of The Weeknd’s biggest fans and we were all set to attend the concert!! Some crazy things happened between which made my trip to Paris even more special! I got to meet LJ, Ricky & Pat all thanks to her!! We had an awesome evening fulfilled with laughter! Such moments make you think about beautiful life can be and that you should value every moment you get to love on that earth! Lalie is such a fun girl! She was so excited to see Abel and so was I!

February, 24th 2014 - THE CONCERT :

THE BIG DAY WAS FINALLY THERE!! The concert took place in Bercy which means that 16k people were expected! I reached the concert place at 5:30pm because I wanted to see people’s excitement and what kind of fans would be there. I noticed lots of teenagers (as holidays just started) but most of all people who were happy and looking forward to an amazing evening! I couldn’t stop dancing while waiting for the concert to start, everyone was so happy! And I ended up meeting a very nice girl called Audrey who has been a fan of Drake for the past 5 years.

The concert started at 8PM, and then I saw THE ABEL TESFAYE!! (I wasn’t in the front but I wasn’t very far away from him I had a good view) I couldn’t feel my body anymore, the only thing I could do was screaming Abeeeeeel!! I always loved watching his live performances on YouTube because I found him amazing on stage! But seeing him live like that was something else! I literally got goosebumps while seeing him perform to “What You Need” there is something deep in his voice, and he can take you in his world within 30 seconds! I felt like I was on cloud 9 in happy world where music & happiness ruled. Abel definitely enjoyed himself on stage, he couldn’t stop jumping, waving at fans, doing his sexy loves with a naughty smile saying things like “Can I Get On The Top Of You Paris” (of course!! We all loved that moment) and he even spoke French and it sounded too cute!! you could really see that he was born to be a singer! Perfection isn’t strong enough to describe his singing skills! He is blessed!

His opening act lasted for 45-50 mins but it was amazing!!! Coming from Switzerland for him was all worth it & I’ll definitely travel the world once again for him because what he gives me as an artist is incredible. It made me realize that I was such a lucky fan to admire a talented guy like him who does what he believes in! Then Drake took over the show and performed to “Crew Love” with Abel! It was amazing!!! The crowd was so excited and that song is even more special to me now! They love each other so much and you can see that their friendship will last forever and ever!

Drake is an amazing performer!! He didn’t slow down for even one second! It was a great show! With amazing visual effects, fire & fireworks!!! As he said “on fait la fête” (let’s party) and we really partied hard!!!!

He brought the gorgeous Jhene Aiko with him on tour and they performed to ‘From Time’ together! It was very very lovely!! I found that cute that he let her perform to her own song called “The Worst” (which you should definitely check out if you haven’t yet!) so that His French Fans could discover her more! I was so proud of her she rocked it! I knew the lyrics by heart and felt very happy that I got the chance to “support her”, even tho she couldn’t see me, for her 1st performance in France! I hope she’ll come back to Europe soon for her own concert!

Then on February 25th, the 2nd concert happened! Despite knowing what would happen, I was so excited to attend the concert a 2nd time! I needed it as well! I felt like addicted to those great singers and I was finally super happy that it was attending it even if people thought I was crazy to do so!

This time I was with Lalie!! She was definitely the happiest!!! It felt amazing to see her so happy, there were twinkles in her eyes while she was looking at Abel!! I didn’t want him to go, I wish his opening act lasted forever!! I could feel my heart burn, I was addicted to him.

But an amazing surprise was waiting for all of us, the fabulous Rihanna was there to perform to Take Care with Drake!!! And Rihanna happens to be my favorite singer! I was on cloud 9 when I saw her on stage with Drake! That performance was too good and sexy (obliviously) and then she performed to Pour It Up and set the stage on fiiiiiire!!! Both Rihanna & Drake said such nice things about each other, it made my heart melt.

And then Drake ended his wonderful concert in Paris with “Started From The Bottom” and I must say that I’m proud the 1st concert I attended was his!!! I have no regrets only wonderful memories that I’ll never forget!

Thank you Drake, The Weeknd, Jhene Aiko, Rihanna & the OVOXO fans for those two extraordinary nights!!!
