dopekond: Turning Pain Into Music

dopekond, whose real name is Mohamed Kandid, is a singer-songwriter born on December 18, 2008, in Casablanca, Morocco. Known for his emotional lyrics and personal storytelling, he uses music as a way to express experiences that have shaped his life.

One of the most important moments behind his artistic journey began when he was sixteen years old. For years, he admired a girl with whom he shared daily eye contact. Although they never built a traditional relationship, those small moments became deeply meaningful to him. Then, after more than a year and three months without contact, she removed him from her life and acted as if she had never known him.

The experience left Mohamed in complete shock. According to his personal story, the pain became so intense that, for a moment, he even thought about ending his life. However, that moment became a turning point. Instead of allowing the experience to destroy him, he transformed it into motivation.

From that day forward, a new version of Mohamed Kandid began to emerge. Stronger, more determined, and driven by emotion, he started building the artistic identity known today as dopekond. Music became his way of processing heartbreak, confusion, loneliness, and growth.

On April 10, 2026, he released his debut project, END Eyes. The album consists of five songs in which dopekond pours out everything he was unable to say before. Each track reflects a chapter of his emotional journey, expressing pain, disappointment, memories, and self-discovery. Rather than hiding his feelings, he chose to turn them into music.

END Eyes serves not only as a debut release but also as a personal statement. Through the project, dopekond introduces listeners to the experiences that shaped him and the emotions that inspired his art.

As he continues his career, dopekond represents a young generation of independent artists who use music to transform difficult experiences into creative expression, proving that even painful moments can become the beginning of something new.
