PHM: (Trans) Grace's Pebble AU
If you're new here, I'm trans, and sometimes I like to do trans representation that feels underdone, like trans pregnancy and family building!
So this AU sort of spawned as I thought about how daunting it was, to be on an alien planet and never physically touch another human or even person again. Then it sort of took on a life of its own.
In this AU, Grace is a trans man living his life on Erid after the events of the movie/book. He's never had the opportunity to have children, but when Eridians study his DNA and the DNA of the humans from their belongings on the Hail Mary, they discover they can successfully create the beginnings of a human. And admittedly, Grace would like a "pebble" of his own, and is a scientist at heart, so of course he'd be a guinea pig!
Adrian is much more studied in this process due to the information accessible on Hail Mary, and they're far more interested in biology so it isn't upsetting for them. Rocky's doing his damndest to keep up but his icks get in the way 😭😭 however he gets the basics of what's safe and unsafe! He basically bosses Grace around, which to be fair, isn't far off what he usually does.
Anywayyy i think that covers it for now! I'll probably draw more because I just love the movie 🥺 I hope yall like how I drew Grace because this is just how I see him in my head!
