Hey friends, I know ff.net is fading. It’s still accessible for now, but in case anyone can’t get to it, I do have a lot of the Narnia fanfics that I recommended saved. So if you’re dying to read them let me know :)

Oh kings and queens of the golden age of Narnia, we're really in it now

This is an in-between piece, although honestly... I expected this to be the end, but my teacher told me to make another version.😭
Once a king and queen of Narnia, always a king and queen of Narnia
today I am thinking about susan pevensie.
thinking about how a part of her would always know what truly happened during the war.
how a part of her would always know where she truly went.
how a part of her childhood and adulthood would always be lost to the land of no time
how a part of her would always remember that her family was lost there too
no matter how hard she tries to deny it, she knows
she remembers
she remembers the god that threw her out of paradise and knows that she can no longer step foot in a church
she remembers silk dresses and heavy crowns and knows that scratchy nylon and caked makeup will never suffice
she remembers blood stained fields and war torn siblings and knows that this world was worse in every way for it
she remembers herself
she doesn’t know herself
she sits in front of her bedroom wardrobe
it does not have carvings of trees or fauns or fairytales
it holds flimsy dresses instead of winder coats
she opens it up and walks inside
she prays to a god that she doesn’t believe in
she prays to the version of him that she knew
she prays for her family people back
she prays that this time the back of her wardrobe will fall away and take her with it
it never does.
today I am thinking about susan pevensie
she deserves to be thought about
I need more good ass looking narnia fanart. I need golden age era Pevensies looking all royal and grown. I need depressing looking young Pevensies before prince caspian events. I need Narnia landscapes. I need Archenland and Carlomen drawings. I need Susan in her very 1950s outfit a lot after the train crash. Oh the train crash, I need drawings of that moment. The autism in me is yearning for more Narnia modern visuals done by people obsessed with the lore like me
I second this! More Narnia art! I love Pauline Baynes as much as the next girl but we need more Narnia art ... and gifs from the movie don't count
I love The Last Battle because almost every other Narnia book is from the Pevensies/Eustace/Jill’s perspective but since this one is mostly focusing on Tirian, we get insight as to how truly strange it is to be just a guy from Narnia and all of a sudden, these Children show up and are all like “yeah, we helped your great-great-great-great grandpa get un-kidnapped and we also helped his dad sail to the edge of the world and also my cousins are the most famous kings and queens in your history and oh by the way we also know the people who were there for the literal creation of your world.” But they’re still Literal Children and well. Children

Happy 20 years The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe ! 🎉
watching narnia movies with myself is so insufferable at times because i know too much. i'm watching it like that's a new zealander actor doing an english accent, that statue of a lion was on location in prague, that boat was radio controlled because william sucked at rowing, those are all potted plants in a studio, skandar had a swollen lip here, that's william doing his own stunt, that's all natural lighting, that's a stand in, that's andrew's parents, that's ben's friend.
1. the new zealand actor, ash jones, doing an english accent.
2. the statue of a lion that was already at the location where they were filming. it's actually a musical theatre building called rudolfinum, located in prague.
3. the boat that was radio controlled by andrew, who said that william was not good at rowing at all and was mostly just playing around with the oars. this location was also only reachable by helicopter so they had a very small crew around when filming this scene.
4. those ferns are all individually potted plants in a studio so the actors were basically walking around on ceramic pots which made them fall over very often. they had found a forest in poland with ferns but it turned out to be cheaper to buy 5000 ferns and create a fake forest instead.
5. skandar had a swollen lip here because (his words) he had turned a corner and somebody left a bar at lip height, and he walked into it. i honestly don't really see it but andrew recalls seeing skandar with ice shoved in his mouth.
6. it's a bit hard to show on a screenshot but william is holding onto a running horse here, kicking a soldier down and then getting on said horse. he actually did most of his stunts himself but this one stands out to me in particular because he had to train a lot for it and was very proud of himself. sneaky extra fun fact: one of the people william and skandar fight in the beginning of the movie is william's stunt double.
7. how absolutely unreal is this!? that's all natural light! the only thing they did was add smoke. it was shot on the south island of new zealand. amazingly done by anna as well who didn't move or flinch at all while there were galloping horses running straight at her.
8. again pretty difficult to show but that's skandar's stand in running. this will ruin the scene for you because once you know it becomes extremely obvious, he just runs in a really different way. another sneaky fun fact: in the first movie, when lucy meets tumnus for the first time and she is walking from the lamppost towards tumnus, where you see only her back, that's also georgie's stand in.
9. andrew's parents in the window which is so freaking adorable. they had a lot of people in this scene that they knew, other people's family, friends, part of their crew etc.
10. ''how do we know he's not leading us to our death?'' is a line which is said by a friend from ben named marcus, i honestly don't know anything else about him haha.
for those that were curious and wanted some clarification :3
