Ross was out doing some thinking because well he had needed to. Things with Dahlia were pretty tense sometimes and he had to keep lying to Marianne and that -A text message. So yeah, Ross was out doing some thinking about everything. When he felt someone step on his toes, that was when he looked up before he grabbed his bag and got up. “It’s okay, Dani. Really.”

Danielle bit down on her lip as she looked back at him. She felt a bit awkward and she didn’t like it. “Just, um... didn’t see you.”

“Oh, yeah?” Dani chuckled, blushing lightly as she ducked her head. “I could say the same.”

“Oh, I.. .thought you guys were close?” Dani shrugg. “Maybe... if I run into them.” Sometimes she wondered if she should just not bother when clearly Jessica didn’t want her help.

Danielle was wandering around the Christmas market, even though Christmas was over. She liked the atmosphere and it had snowed overnight and everywhere was finally picture perfect like a postcard. She’d text Rachel to check in on her but she figured her friend was better off away from this town. She wandered, thoughtfully looking at a few things and then found herself stepping right onto somebody else’s toes. “Oh my god!” She jumped back lightly, slipping a little in the snow. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t---” By this time she’d looked up and realised that it was Ross.

“Yeah, I guess so...” She sighed, shrugging. She could certainly name a few she’d prefer dogs over. “But I know some fairly good ones too.”

“Are you totally going to save that?” He questioned, after looking at the photo. He couldn’t help but smile. “Thanks. I bet you do also.” He took out his phone.

“Maybe.” Danielle chuckled, unable to help but smile back at him. “I’ll send it to you.” She teased, glancing down at his phone. “Ah... I don’t know about that..” Dani laughed.

“What’s life without a little risk, eh?” For all he knew, this girl could be a killer herself, but if they all started thinking like that no one would go anywhere. “Yeah?” Jake’s smile grew a little wider, “Yeah, I’d like that. I- Uh… I’m Jake.” He really should start making a note of who he actually knew in town. Most people had probably met him at a party when he was blackout drunk; hopefully he hadn’t already introduced himself in the past.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Danielle chuckled, looking over at him with a nod. She wasn’t too used to people being happy to spend time with her lately, well other than Thomas, so it was kind of nice. “Danielle. Dani.” She nodded, though she felt like she’d seen him in the crowd at a party somewhere, but she’d seen lots of people and... well, she didn’t go to parties very often anymore. Panic and all that. “Nice to meetcha.”
