Paladin The Paladin is a holy warrior, blending martial prowess with unwavering faith and righteousness. They are champions of justice, duty, and divine order, sworn to uphold the tenets of their deity or sacred oath. Paladins draw strength from their convictions, channeling divine power to smite evil, protect the innocent, and heal the wounded. They are beacons of hope in the world besiged by darkness, leading by example and inspiring others to act of courage and virtue. Paladins often wear heavy armour emblazoned with symbols of their faith, wielding mighty weapons infused with divine energy. Despite their formidable combat abilities, paladins are not mere intruments of vengeance; many posess a compassionate heart and strong sense of empathy, striving to bring about peace and redemption wherever they go. In essence, the Paladin is a shining exemplar of righteousness and honour, a stalwart defender of the weak, and a scourge to the forces of evil.

Aside from all the religious connotation, which Yeva is definitely NOT, especially after the events of Veilguard, this does seem accurate. Her faith is more routed in her fellow Shadow Dragons and their cause than for any diety, she draws on the magic of the Fade which I suppose could be taken as Divine Power.

I can't help but wonder what Sorcerer would have been for her, given she's quite the intuative mage.

The Name You Still Remember Some people pass through your life like ghosts. But one didn't. ONE PERSON DIDN'T. You remember his name. You remember him in ways he might never remember you and that fact sits quietly in your chest, not painful, just tender. It's a mystery of recognition: why some souls imprint themselves on you so deeply while you slip from their memory like light through a window. But the truth? Your memory of him says more about your capacity for connection than his forgetfulness ever could. You carry him gently, the way only real warmth survives.

I fear this could be about Varric, The Viper or Lucanis (if she saves Minrathous during the choice), she just loves them so much okay, even if they may not hold her to the same regard.

Yeva follows the canon pretty much, she was found on a battlefield, I headcanon near Ventus, he assumed she was likely from a Arlathan Dalish clan but no one was ever found to claim her, so Charon Mercar took her in and raised her as best he could raise a lightning and fire mage, she may have accidentally set the curtains on fire once or twice…

Rosewater Key words: sensistive, romantic, calming. You are a beautiful person inside and out whose kindness shines through even on your worst days. Rippling Sunset You're the nicest person I'll ever meet, probably, with an undying passion to protect those who can't protect themselves, you're energetic and bubbly to a fault. It's cute, watching you run around trying to tie up loose ends. I feel bad for you - out of everyone you know, you probably have some of the deepest trauma, more than anyone's aware of. This isn't something that you want attention for at all, and you'd really just rather forget it exists at all...even then, it seems like you can never escape it. I wish you a pleasant rest of your life, full of rippling sunsets and free of prying eyes.

Damn, they really came for her throat with this one. It's too accurate. (she also loves a good sunset, so all in all 10/10 answer!)

How much do you watch, unmoving, as it tears you apart? The frog sits patiently in the pot as the water boils around it. You have done such a good job of letting it all wash over you that you'll barely notice it when you drown.

While she is impulsive, she can be patient when it counts, and sometimes when it doesn't.

I think this can come from being a mage, having to be in control of your emotions all the time and not showing your true feelings. Also from her cause, how patient must you be to topple a tryranical government while watching endless suffering happen?

Lilac Purple You're soft, even if you're quiet, and people tend to find you as someone who is calming, if not a bit awkward, or standoffish. You handle your grief in silence, your kindness in silence, your anger in silence, your symapthy in silence, your joy in silence. I know that it's been hard, and that it's difficult to keep yourself in the moment. I know that it's hard to know yourself. You can't hide away from your life forever, and although you certainly don't have to expose your entire self to the world, and you don't have to know yourself entirely, it's good to express yourself, even if you're afraid of being "too much". You will never know what people will love about you if you don't give them a chance to learn in the first place.

What do you mean she's Emmrich's favourite colour? The ships practically write themselves!

Tragic Villain Everyone thinks you're very melodramatic because you never miss an opportunity to break out in lengthy monologues about everything that is wrong with society, but you are deeply misunderstood. The world has scarred you and now you're simply trying to get even. The hero says you go too far in trying to achieve that and so they conclude that you must be stopped, just because you killed a few people, you have a perfectly logical reason for that. The hero would actually see your point if they stopped being a sanctimonious asshole for once and would just hear you out. Or maybe you're actually wrong somewhat...you'll think about it later.

From Foil to Solas to Mirror of Solas it would seem. I feel like the Tragic Villain fits really well for her! Explanation below the cut:

It’s easy to imagine her going down that road after witnessing one too many injustices while being an Elven Mage living in Tevinter. Especially if Treviso was saved and Minrathous fell to the Venatori and Blight.

After a particularly bad case, she’d feel like the Shadow Dragons weren’t doing enough to make big changes to the system itself and start taking more drastic measures to liberate slaves without them, removing anyone and anything in her way.

Varric did say she tends to think in straight lines after all.

She’d firmly believe she’s right in her actions, driven by the fact that she escaped the fate of a slave by chance of being found and taken in by a good man. She can imagine herself in their place, and will do anything to free them, but she’d spiral from the sheer weight of it all, and eventually take it too far. But she can’t stop now, she couldn’t. It’s already taken too much sacrifice to get to this point right? Right?

Deeply, like the vastness of the sea You are a very passionate person. You feel everything so intensely, and that definitely includes love. You need someone who will match that passion, that intensity. You need someone who will care about them, but you have a hard time finding that. You're usually the one who loves more, and it's sad sometimes, but it's okay. But you will find someone who loves you just as much as you love them.

Yep, when she falls, she falls hard, but she needs to feel wanted in return. She's had a lot of unrequited loves in the past.

Neglect/Absence so you like leaving huh. ur a little ghoster huh. dw me too. this is the counter to quality time, it just means you avoid people you don't get along with. this can get kinddaa toxic because you just dip, no questions asked, and you probably don't like confrontation buuut its ok twin !! we're in this together <3

I didn’t expect this to be so accurate for her! Explanation below the cut:

Her entire life she’s been on the outskirts of everything. Too elven in her human adoptive family. Not elven enough for the Dalish elves, having been raised by humans.

She knows the feeling of being used or shunned like it’s part of her own skin.

Now, when she begins to recognise the same pattern happening again, she retreats, very much developed a “leave them before they leave you” mentality. It’s a defence mechanism she’s built up over years of unfortunate encounters. If you don’t want her around? Fine, then she’s no longer around, she doesn't care (at least on the surface, it’s actually a deep, old wound of hers that she fixates on, she really wants someone to stay, to choose to stay with her for once, not because they need her for something, but because they want her.)

So I’ve made a promise to myself this year to start posting art again even infrequently and this felt like a great place to start! So hi everybody 👋

I try to draw Yeva similar to her in-game model, with a few minor tweaks here and there, I always make sure to include her tired eyed because her life is stressful. Any other differences likely come from my stylisation!
