Back in the Burbs by Tracy Wolff & Avery Flynn

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

At thirty-five Mallory Martin thought she’d have the perfect life, instead three months ago she caught her attorney husband cheating with his paralegal, her favorite crazy aunt died, and she’s been left a rundown house that she has no idea how to repair. On top of that there’s a list of HOA violations on the house that might get her sued. It’s safe to say that Mallory is down on her luck, but with the help of her seriously hot attorney neighbor things may just start looking up!

Lemme start this off by saying Back to the Burbs is laugh out loud hilarious with a HEA that gave me all the warm fuzzies. Fair warning though, it took me a good ten chapters before I really got into the book, but once things really got rolling I couldn’t put it down.

Mallory’s character is pretty great, she’s smart, funny, and ambitious and I loved watching her grow a backbone and take no shit from anyone—especially her shitty ex husband. The banter and the frenemies-to-friends-to-lovers situation between her and Nick was one of my favorite parts of the book. Seriously, I love the two of them together(even if Mallory dilly dallied a bit too much and I wanted to smack her for being so blind).

Just read it!

For all my monster loving friends in search of the perfect quick read that blurs the lines between smut and romance, look no further! I have just the book for you.

Girls Weekend follows a trio of coworkers who are spending their three day weekend at an adults only resort. What ensues is one monster (😜) of a fucking weekend, full of sex, romances, and self realization.

I’m dying for more of the story (and more of Tate), and cannot wait for the next book! Totally kicking myself for putting off reading this book for so long!

Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas

Genre: Fantasy Fiction

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m a super emotional person in general, but this fucking book has made me ugly cry more than any book I’ve ever read. SJM and her ability to write such a raw and powerful character like Aelin, to delve into such painful emotions that you feel it ache in your chest... It’s amazing. She’s amazing. She’s a literal queen.

I was not at all prepared for the emotional journey that this book took me on. Celaena finally accepting her past and reclaiming her identity as Aelin was E V E R Y T H I N G. & as much of a dick as Rowan is/was, he’s finally growing on me, and I can’t wait to see how the bond between the two of them grows. ALSO, please give me all the Manon. She’s insane but I love her.

Honestly, I just love this book.

I love this series.

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas

Genre: Fantasy Fiction

Having been a bit underwhelmed by Throne of Glass, the first book in Celaena’s series, I was glad to find out that Crown of Midnight was way better. Like waaayyyy better.

It’s still pretty typical YA Fantasy, BUT Crown of Midnight has me all kinds of invested in this series now and I felt all of feelings—shout out to @angiearoundwonderland for letting me randomly send her messages when I was 🤯🤯🤯

After the ending of Crown of Midnight (poor Chaol is all the way fucked up), I can’t wait to see how this plays out!!
