Hi! Based on that post you reblogged about friends to lovers (I love those fics too!), can I request something like that for Luke? Maybe when others are teasing, "just kiss already" and that type of stuff, the reader just goes on "fuck it" mode and kisses him? 'Cause we all know he plays the cool rocker guy but he's actually the type to get flustered and dorky around his crush
Hello, of course you can although I've not written anything in a long time so I'm a little rusty but I hope you like it.
(It's short and unedited so I apologise for any mistakes in advance)
----
It was a Friday night, school had finished for the week and she, Julie and the boys were all spread out on the couches and floor in the Molina's garage while a horror movie played on the screen in front of them.
Nestled between Luke and Alex on the couch she was starting to regret agreeing to a horror movie and wishing they'd settled on something different as she'd spent most of the movie with her face buried into Luke's shoulder.
She hoped Luke didn't mind, although she suspected he didn't as was quick to wrap an arm around her the first time she did it, quietly asking if she was okay. She had nodded quickly, hoping to brush off his concern but leaned further into his side anyway, smiling slightly as she felt his arm curl tighter around her.
A soft whisper of her name is what drew her face out of Luke's shoulder for what felt like the hundredth time since the movie started. Looking up she was met with Luke's face inches away from her own, his hazel eyes studying her face and she tried to soften her features into a more natural expression than the frightened look that she definitely portrayed.
"You know we could still put on a different movie if you're scared" his voice was quiet and a soft smile rested on his lips that the others had noted was only there when he spoke to her, not that she realised that.
"It's almost finished, may as well watch it to the end" she squeaked, her body jumping slightly as another loud noise sounded from the tv.
Luke shook his head at her answer, looking as if he was about to say something else until Alex's voice startled the both of them.
"Would you two just kiss already instead of being sickeningly cute and staring into each others eyes"
Both her and Luke turned to find the movie paused and all their friends watching them intently.
"Hey I was just checking to make sure she was okay, you know she doesn't like horror movies and..."
Whatever else Luke had wanted to say was lost against her lips as she did what she had wanted to do since Julie had first introduced her and flynn to the boys. The kiss was soft but quick, enough for her to feel the ghost of his lips against hers when she pulled away but not enough for Luke to really kiss her back.
When she did pull away, she wasn't sure what she expected to see but Luke flushed with a bewildered look in his eyes definitely wasn't it. The boy who was usually so cool and confident about everything was now staring helplessly at her.
"You've broken Luke" Reggie laughs teasingly from his place on the floor where he was leaning against Alex’s legs.
Looking away from Luke, she turns to the others watching as Julie turnes her gaze to her, "and clearly he wasn't the only one affected" she points out excitedly, drawing the others attention away from Luke.
"You two really are oblivious" Alex says amused, with a shake of his head but her attention is drawn away from him by a gentle hand on her cheek, guiding her to turn her head.
She's met with a pair of lips on her own, a pair she only experienced briefly but knows belong to Luke. It's a little uncertain at first, his lips just brushing over her own but as soon as she starts kissing back, his lips press firmly against hers. His hand slides from her cheek to cup the back of her neck, pulling her closer unable to get enough of her lips now that he's finally allowed to kiss her.
"Now look what we've done, they're never going to stop" Alex groans, protesting loudly when Luke sticks up a finger at him without even stopping kissing her.
"Okay let's just put the movie back on, it should drown them out" Julie suggests reaching for the remote as Alex reluctantly agrees, happy for the two of them but not wanting to have to listen to them.
