So I've done no pixel work recently because every time I'm on my PC the witcher calls me... And I am weak. This is a thing though.

I was looking through a sketch book that I had whilst at university and found these ink paintings id made of a battle between the tsuchigumo and Lord Raikos men from the Noh play 'tsuchigmo'.

I started drawing another yokai, but it kept going horrible. So I just doodled. Eh

I just finished this! i feel i’ve got alot to keep working on but im slowly feeling a bit more comfortable using pixels.

Although i made a bit of a mess of a lot of the lines in this, i really enjoyed doing it, finding the right colour (especially the luminosity) has been really challenging considering i tend to work almost exclusively in black and white when on paper.

This is a character i had used for a university project, but it was pretty fun trying to replicate it in this style. Could have worked on the back ground more...

So this is kind of where i started at. i did a couple of sprites and copied this one into the background imagine which i’d created before. I was influenced heavily by the game, ‘Swords & Sworcery’ which Super Brothers had done the art for as a kind of stepping stone.
