Bonjour, je m'appelle Sarena. I'm a graduate who studied abroad in Nice, France during my junior year. In the fall, I will be returning to France to serve as a teaching assistant in Amiens. I created this blog to document my experience through writing and pictures.

also there was a racist dude at the train station last night and sam offered to wait for the bus with me and i was like, “aw, thanks, you’re the kind of white man we need in this world”

I’m so glad Angeline, Rajmeet, Nishtha, and I bonded over our mutual saltiness towards white people even though we’d met like two hours beforehand

My class that consists entirely of secondes (15-16 year olds) addressed me as Madame the entire time and it was so surreal
