“Because I’m a better person than you.” Ingrid told him bluntly, digging through her bag for a bottle of water and offering it to him. “This might help, and I thought about it, but I wouldn’t be me if I walked away while someone else was suffering.” She simply shrugged as if it was no big deal. “I didn’t want to watch it either.”

Dante reached up and took the bottle of water with a shaky hand, taking a drink to calm down. “Thank you.. You didn’t have to do this..” He paused, sitting up straighter. “I really am sorry, if that counts for anything..”
