Dentist office often viewed as a cold and scary place for some people. The usual image of plain white colors, and bright white light can be terrifying to some.
Last december, I was lucky to have an opportunity to help one of my friend who happens to be a young dentist in palembang set up his own dental clinic.
The site is a typical commercial place in Indonesia that we called "Ruko". Our clinic is situated at second floor of the theree-stories Ruko. The first floor is used as restaurant I some put a glass partition and door right in front of the stairway to isolate our space from the chaos bellow
We decided to design the clinic in"natural" style to make the atmosphere of the clinic more friendly and relaxing. Cherry wood patterned HPL become the most visible material in the interior. Concrete- patterned vinyl flooring balanced the warmth bought by the cherry wood color. A touch of Carara marble for a litle bit of elegance in the room.
Finally for finishing touch we add artificial plants here and there to compliment all the materials that we utilized.
We hope that this interior can help some of my friend's patients from their anxiety in dentist office
