<p>House of Brutus - Located in the ITC Building</p> <p>I am but a fool to forget that my favorite burger is the spicy burger at House of Brutus. All their burgers are great; they have an assortment: Brutus, Umami, in-and-out, Royale, a few others I can’t remember, and the Godzilla. The Godzilla is enormous, two grilled cheese sandwiches and the fix-ins of a burger in between. But like I said, my favorite is the Spicy burger (see photo above). The spicy burger includes a 1/2lb patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sriacha, jalapeños, banana peppers, and onion rings to top. Whew! It’s absolutely divine. The oils just drip from your hand. I wrote a review before and stick by it. iTaco’s tacos are easily the best tacos I’ve ever tried. The revision is that they are $3ea and you need to see the different kinds they make from the photo of the menu. Check ‘em out in the parking lot of Abandon Ship Tuesday-Saturday. Nights only.

Takoyaki Cafe Tama, located in Tumon I've been trying so hard to find the right words to review this place because it's so difficult after everything has settled and I can finally collect my thoughts. There's so much hype about this place. Apparently, Takoyaki is this octopus and sauce ball and is very popular in Japan. They sell it here on Guam at Chamorro Village/Wednesday night market, but I don't think they're the same owner... Whatever the case is, now there's a new Takoyaki joint and is an actual sit-down restaurant. People are lined up at the door literally waiting, from the moment we stepped in. I planned on dining at the cafe since the opening and couldn't wait to check it out, so when I finally had a night off I went with my right-hand man. There was a family all sitting down and a couple standing. We all communicated and found out that the place was packed and that there was no sign-in sheet. Soon after, more people showed up and left, and another family showed up. There was only one table for two open and not one single person had come to check or greet the customers coming through the door. At last (almost 35 mins) a space cleared and the first family sat and after another 15 minutes the couple before us was sat. Then we were next FINALLY. When we sat we ordered drinks and when the drinks came we were ready to order. I was so happy to be in such a cute place. All the workers were dressed in polka dots, the walls had polka dots and stripes, it was all so cute. We ordered a regular octopus Takoyaki and chicken Takoyaki (so to save some space for dessert after). My chicken came about 10-15 minutes (the disclosure says it takes 15-20 to make the takoyakis) and I ate one and shared one with Carl.. And we waited for his to come. And we waited. And we waited. And so I ate another. And we waited. And I ate another and another.. And we were still waiting. Soon I was done and the waiter hadn't even bothered to check us. Then she did and told us that they were still making Carl's food. (It was well past 20 minutes at this point) I was so bothered and Carl was so hangry (hungry&angry) and we were pretty much mu'yu' facing and looking around for about 10 minutes before another waiter came to check if we were okay. He then informed us that it would be right out and at that point we just wanted to take it to go and be done with the place. The Takoyaki was so delicious; I never had anything like it.. But the service was the worst. And even for a new restaurant, it could have been better. The waiters did not even try to hustle or serve us or ask if we wanted refills until we were sucking air through straws -- that's when you know it's bad. Whatever the case, I will be steering clear of this place until the hype dies down and the waitstaff gets better at their jobs. "Good food doesn't excuse poor service"

Capricciosa Ristorante Italiano - Various locations located at Agana Shopping Center, Pacific Place building in Tumon, and Royal Orchid Hotel Tonight, Love and I dined at Capps. And though I would have loved the Capps lasagna, I decided I wanted smoked salmon salad more and allowed Love to choose the pasta entree; he chose the tomato and mushroom spaghetti... Something I have never ordered before. (The family next to us ordered squid ink pasta and I was so jealous. I almost regretted ordering the salad.) I really did enjoy my salad, the vinegarette is divine and eating a salad before a meal felt so grown up. Smoked salmon is delicious and if you haven't tried it, you should. It's light and fresh and the salmon is always perfect. When the spaghetti finally arrived, I was in a rush to dive in, but made it a point to snap a quick (and unfocused) photo so to show you here on my blog. Even without meat, the spaghetti was great! I added the table-setting parmesan and crushed pepper and it was Mmmmmmmmmmmm good! Maybe next time I'll ask for a side of meatballs, but it is great without and as is. Pretty much everything at Capps is delicious and will not disappoint. Whether you get what's pictured or anything else I've mentioned... It's always a satisfying experience.

Khao Hom Thai, located parallel to East Agaña Bay/Alupang Beach Park. Visit if you want to experience authentic Thai cuisine. Featured is their Pad Thai and Khao Hom Thai fried chicken (and their special menu lunch tray). When they ask you if you want your dish mild, hot, or Thai hot, think twice. Coming from someone who adds dinanche onto dinanche, the "hot" is spicy enough and so I'm sure the "Thai hot" is a death sentence. Either way, the food is amazing and if you're even just up for the chicken and rice, the pineapple fried rice is also very delicious, try it. I enjoy all the dishes they serve, the owner is a sweetheart, and the scenery is awesome.

Samurai Teppanyaki located at Fiesta Resort Featured is half a plate of the “Alpha” teppanyaki set which includes chicken, steak, bacon-wrapped shrimp, tofu, and a variety of vegetables all cooked right in front of you (duh, teppanyaki). You’ll probably just take half of this to go because this set also includes a salad bar. The salad bar is jam-packed with deliciousness as well. They have your typical lettuce tomato, cucumber bits for your salad, then they have cold salads: macaroni salad, kimchee, chicken kelaguen (YAAASSSS!!), sushi (HELL YES), tempura, and desserts. And the cool thing is they have Samurai bucks which is like money for the restaurant and you can use it as cash next time you dine. If you haven’t tried it already, you should definitely visit.

Godiva Chocolatiers, located in The Plaza, is a good place to stop by if your sweet tooth is kicking in. Of course they have a wide range of delectable chocolate truffles and I'd personally make my own box from the display BUT this Godiva features awesome milkshakes and even soft serve ice cream! You should def check it out.

Ebisu Restaurant, just recently relocated inside the hotel lobby of the Royal Orchid Hotel. This photo contains (top, left to right) their California roll, rainbow roll, and 69 roll. Ebisu offers a more traditional Japanese sushi experience, which allows you to really taste the special fish in the dish.

iTaco - A canteen food truck that can normally be found in the parking lot of Abandon Ship in Tumon from Tuesday through Saturday around 10PM-3AM.

iTaco is amazing! It is easily the best tacos I’ve ever tried in my life. I think the tacos are $2ea but are totally worth it. I always get mine spicy… Whatever I do order. Tacos featured include steak, fish, chicken, and chorizo. I’m sure there’s more variety, but for the life of me I can’t remember. (Taco meats vary night to night and by availability.) Either way, I HIGHLY recommend checking them out and scoring some awesome tacos.

Arashi located in Dededo

Featured in this photo is Arashi’s spicy tuna roll and spicy mayo karage bowl. Personally, I’m not too fond of their sushi rice preparation because it always seems to come out more gummy/fatty then I’d like, but if you like spicy tuna, I mean, it’s worth a try. (Just as I did.) The spicy mayo karage bowl is what keeps me coming back though. It’s delicious.

Cafe Maru located in the building right beside DFS (same building as Uncle Sim's)

This is their Belgian waffle *heart eyes*I originally started going to Cafe Maru because they had red bean shaved ice on their menu and I had to try theirs, but I can never seem to stop myself from ordering this. The waffle they use is not your typical fluffy waffle, rather a skinny one that requires a butterknife. No complaints here, it still tastes scrumptious BECAUSE just look!! Fresh fruits and two scoops of ice cream. They also have shaved ice, sundaes, milkshakes, and hotdogs available. I suggest you go with someone that way you can share this treat or get two treats and share both because you're gonna wanna try everything.

Von's located in Agaña and Hamburger Road My favorite is the golden wings, spicy (obviously). I don't know anyone that can resist these flavorful things. This photo also features their Kimchee fried rice, which is so, so good. You can actually taste the Kimchee. Most places the Kimchee flavor diminishes a bit while in the process of cooking, but the original flavor was kept. And the other chicken dish is a new addition to their menu, sweet and sour popcorn chicken. This is a really good caramelized boneless, pre-cut chicken. Numz. (Every order comes with a service side salad and pickled radish.)

Left: Lamb Bowl // Right: Lamb Gyro Wrap Personally, I like to eat with my hands, I have no idea why... maybe something about the way you can connect to your food, making it more tangible, so typically, I get the wrap. The lamb is bomb and I always get it spicy. They also make their own pita, and so everything just tastes so authentic and yummy. The difference between the wrap and the bowl is that the bowl has rice and the wrap doesn’t, but I’m sure you can ask to include rice. Besides these, DK does offer kabobs, pita and babaganoush, vegan plates, and some other Greek dishes. It’s good if you want a break from the norm and it’s good when it becomes your norm too, either/or, Dr. Kabob will get rid of your rumbling tummy with their delicious menu items.

California Pizza Kitchen located just outside the Holiday Resort & Spa I don't care what you're planning on ordering, right when the server comes over, even before you order drinks, let them know you want avocado egg rolls. You will thank me for this. Every time this runs out on the table I get sad and realize that I shouldn't have ordered an entree and should have ordered two or three of these. The spicy ranch that comes with this just adds more moans of satisfaction. (I also like to add a dash of cholula sauce placed at the table.) I'm giving so much credit to this appetizer that I haven't even gotten to the entrees which are also delicious. Here we have the sausage penne pasta and dang it I can't remember the name of the other pasta. (Will post the name as soon as my brain triggers) My favorite pasta, though not featured is the jambalaya. They also have carbonara and a whole range of other pastas. Their pizzas are a whole other story too: they have the regular pepperoni, sausage, veggie, but they have jerk chicken, habanero carnitas (pulled pork and habanero), some kind of bacon and SUNNY SIDE UP EGGS (I haven't tried it yet, but as soon as I do I will post a photo), Sicilian, and just a wide variety of pizza I wouldn't be able to list 'em all. Definitely heck this place out and DON'T FORGET TO ORDER THE AVOCADO EGG ROLLS! Pizza out.

Horse and Cow, located in Tamuning. So I heard about 35c wing Thursdays and made it one of my life goals (kidding not kidding) to check it out because according to the street peeps it’s the best on island and I thought “I have to see what all the fuss is about”. So one magical day, heaven and earth and fate and pretty much the right timing came across my schedule and I able to have a Thursday night off. Pulling into the parking lot, I realized people take this 35c wing thing pretty seriously, IT WAS PACKED, so much so that when we walked in there was only one table in the corner left. It didn’t even have menus or condiments or napkins like all the others had and I felt so out of place because everyone else was already serviced except for us. We managed to flag down a waiter and get menus. My boyfriend was set on getting the wings and I decided on a burger, it’s a given. They had a whole list of wing flavors available ranging from wet and dry, I couldn’t tell you the whole list. And the burger list went on and on, I think I just decided on the classic cheeseburger and added spicy sauce and bacon. Oh, and Cajun-seasoned fries. When the food came and we started eating I immediately noticed how flavorful everything was. There were so many spices, so many waves of flavor in each bite, some bites had more sauce, others had more bacony crunch, I regret having gotten the seasoned fries because it was all too overwhelming. That’s not normally a bad thing, but it felt like my taste buds were exploding. The drafts in the photo include Amberbock and New Castle. They also have Horse and Cow Cash so you can keep to help pay for your drinks next time. It was a good Thursday, I’ll probably frequent it - burgers and brew, what’s not to like?

Mosa’s Joint, located in Tamuning across Taco Bell.                       Featured: Chorizo Burger w Avocados Mosa’s Joint is an extension of the ever-popular Mosa’s Hot Box, the canteen. A few years ago, getting this burger used to be an after-school treat whenever they parked their canteen just across my street. I have always been a fan of the chorizo burger and I still order it now when nothing on the specials catch my eye. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with their specials because their specials are really special, sometimes they even run out before lunch time is over. It doesn’t help that I follow them on instagram and see their daily specials and start to crave Mosa’s when I’m broke as a joke, but when pay day comes around and I’ve been tracking their posts, I make it a point to go. I especially like their house tea, that is tea with calamansi instead of the typical lemon. On the menu they have vegan dishes, fish plates, taco salad (which is huge btw), variety of sandwiches, lamb wraps and burgers, and they always have kelaguen on special. Highly suggest you go. I was so excited to see my favorite canteen expand and I’m hoping they thrive because the food is bomb. “Chagi this!”
