sometimes the absence is more compelling. let's lack something and then feel its presence forever in the empty space where it should be.

You know that feeling when you’re stalking an account that’s not even active anymore? You start seeing posts and reblogs from ten years ago, and suddenly it feels like an empty place, like you’ve gone back in time for a while. You start noticing what was cool back then, what designs and themes were popular, how people used to talk about certain things, the things we used to talk about and what mattered to us. I love that feeling, like I’m the only one back there for a little while, sort of trespassing and wondering what the owners are up to these days. For the full experience, it has to be someone you used to talk to or who was somehow part of your life or scene. I love this digital haunting nostalgia.
