alright, it's kait again, coming at you with character number two. this time, how about i give you some info on me too? i'm 24, from the est. i love halloween, horror movies, cats, coffee, and bats more than anything. i also really like causing pain via plots, so you've got that to look forward to! in all seriousness, i'd like to introduce you to my second character - the ever so sweet demigirl, darina, an actual puppy. if you'd like to read about her, continue below!

[ nina dobrev ] - have you seen darina yanev, the twenty-eight year old werewolf? from what i’ve heard they appear to be twenty-six years old and identify as demigirl. they prefer she/they for pronouns and are known as the icarian. people say they’re adventurous, humorous, yet impulsive & reticent, so i guess that explains it. 

unlike a lot of other residents in halloweentown, darina is not originally from the cute, hidden new england town. she was born on the outskirts of new orleans, louisana, to a rather large family.

a natural born werewolf, darina had seven brothers and sisters; with her parents included, they were a happy family of ten. they lived off the beaten path in the bayou, choosing to hide themselves from humans as much as possible. for the first fifteen years of her life, it was easy. they lived happy. darina was surrounded with love and compassion.

that was until a fateful november night. they were celebrating darina's youngest brother's ninth birthday when they first heard the shots in the distance. less than twenty minutes later, their camp was swarmed with hunters. screams filled the air as one by one, her family was slaughtered. luckily for darina, a rather inexperienced hunter came after her. with quite a few wounds, she made it out by the skin of her teeth -- though she wished she hadn't.

for weeks, the lone wolf roamed aimlessly, looking for another place to call home when she met an omega. they formed a small two-wolf pack and stuck together as they traveled. just after darina turned sixteen, they found halloweentown. she's been here ever since.

at first, darina was jumpy, scared, constantly trying to run from every loud noise and every single human being. she could barely sleep or eat, let alone live a happy life. as time went by, the more she got used to the town, the more her old personality developed. 

now, darina is kind and carefree. she loves being in the forest and loves being around animals. she has an old soul and a love for life that's insatiable. she's crowned herself the queen of puns and is always trying to make people laugh.

she loves sports, tries her hardest to stay away from drama, and honestly just wants to be surrounded by loving, friendly people. don't piss her off, though. that's when the inner wolf comes out and she's likely to lash out at anyone in her way.

despite all of the positive things she expresses, she still holds a great deal of pain and sadness over the loss of her family. to this very day she blames herself for being the only one to survive. it keeps her up at night, which is why people can often find her howling at the sky in the middle of the night, whether the moon is out or not.

darina is quite well known for being over protective of her friends and she has quite a few of them. she views everyone that's important to her as family and she would do anything in the world for them.

currently, she works at carpe noctem as a waitress, but she does odd jobs on the side for extra money.
