“— in my defense,” Devon quickly paused, clearing her throat as she set some of the papers aside. “I have told her that she should be contacting you whenever you don’t abide by the law, so she was only doing HER JOB.” Stating, the woman pushed herself off the chair and stood up with her arms crossed. “I don’t think meeting now is a necessity – I am glad that nothing major happened — to both you, and people around,” she continued, her eyebrow rised as a half-amused smile made an appearance. “Consider this as a some kind of CHECK-UP, will you? I will see if I can get it validated, too. — But, Mr. Valentine, I NEED to know what exactly happened and why did that even happen, in the first place…”

Like, after I’ve showered. I’ve told you countless times I run at the same time every morning and I fucking hate my routine being interrupted,” he ran a hand through his slightly damp hair and clenched his jaw, though a few long exhales soon had him relaxed again -- well, as relaxed as one could be in the presence of their lawyer, that is. “Were you expecting something different?” he tilted his head. “Do you expect me to have MURDERED someone every time I visit this place? Fuck sake -- and Dylan wonders why I don’t believe people think I’m anything but a killer.” Arms soon folded across his chest and his back rested against the door frame, still unwilling to move from his current position. “--- Some guy was shouting at his kid and it made me SO ANGRY so I left the car and went for a walk. Came back to a ticket. Simple as that. Or do you want a second by second playback? Should I tell you about the bottle of water that I bought? It was COCONUT. Oh, and I also bought the morning paper and a doughnut because Dylan says I don’t consume enough energy giving foods. Hmm, what else...”
