Latający weteran Drugiej Wojny Światowej. Po zejściu z linii produkcyjnej w 1942 przydzielony do 315 dywizjonu Dęblińskiego, po trzech miesiącach przeszedł do 317 dywizjonu Wileńskiego, gdzie latał do 13.02.1943 kiedy po jednej z akcji powrócił uszkodzony i przekazany do remontu. Po remoncie nie powrócił już do 317 dywizjonu. Ciekawostką jest że posłużył jako wzornik do produkcji żywicznych replik które statystowały podczas produkcji filmu „ Bitwa o Anglię”
W 1993 został pozyskany przez Historic Aircraft Collection. Postanowiono odrestaurować go w barwach 317 Dywizjonu. Obecnie stacjonuje w Duxford.
Zespół HAC jest w stałym kontakcie z polskimi weteranami którzy mieli przyjemność prowadzenia tej maszyny. W 2004 roku odbyło się historyczne spotkanie dwóch weteranów. Franciszek Kornicki mógł ponownie zająć miejsce w kokpicie maszyny którą latał w czasie wojny, na wewnętrznej stronie drzwi maszyny pozostawił swój podpis.

Flying veteran of the Second World War. After leaving the production line in 1942 assigned to 315 Squadron of Dęblinski, after three months he went to 317 Squadron of Vilnius, where he flew to 13.02.1943 when after one of the actions he returned damaged and handed over for refurbishment. After renovation, he did not return to the 317th squadron. An interesting fact is that it served as a template for the production of resin replicas that were recorded during the production of the film "Battle of Britain"
In 1993, he was recruited by the Historic Aircraft Collection. It was decided to restore it in the colors of 317 Squadron. He is currently based at Duxford.
The HAC team is in constant contact with Polish veterans who had the pleasure of running this machine. In 2004, a historic meeting of two veterans took place. Franciszek Kornicki could once again take his place in the cockpit of a machine he flew during the war, he left his signature on the inside of the machine's door.
