The Dark Hunter known as “Assimilator” is an incredibly dangerous one. Originally he was a small insect rahi, one of millions, who fed by absorbing other small rahi using the claws on the end of their tails, which not only sustained them, but allowed them to learn the traits and intelligence of those they consumed. One of these rahi, however, began consuming other members of his species, eventually wiping out his own kind and becoming the last surviving member of his species. By this point he was large enough to consume bigger rahi, and then bigger, and so on and so forth. Before long “Assimilator” made his way to a small village of Po-Matoran, and consumed them all, including a Turaga, giving him the brown colouration on his armour, and minute control over the element of stone. By now “Assimilator” had grown intelligent enough to think and talk, and could plan and scheme and trick. Eventually he drew unwanted attention from the Order of Mata Nui, who sent agents after him. Fortunately “Assimilator” was able to defeat and consume these agents, and by doing so learned of the existence of the Dark Hunters, weighing his options “Assimilator” decided to seek out these Dark Hunters, and either consume or join them. Eventually “Assimilator” found the Dark Hunters and managed to consume a few of the smaller ones, but was stopped by Sentrakh, and brought before the Shadowed One. “Assimilator” agreed to join the merry band of Dark Hunters, in exchange for a regular supply of beings to consume, which would range in quality depending on the difficulty and importance of the missions he completed.
“Assimilator” possessed the ability to consume other beings and learn their traits and intelligence, as noted above, but he could also shift to a six legged form, which increased his speed, mobility and stealth capabilities. He also carried two projectile weapons, which he named “Kill” and “Consume” respectively, which could be stored on his lower half when not being used. “Assimilator” has become the master of patience, not only being able to remain motionless and wait for long periods of time, but his ability to worm his way to other’s hearts, before consuming them when they’re weakest. He will talk to you in a kind, upbeat voice, joke around, have a laugh with you, you may even consider him a good friend, he’ll compliment you and assure you that he’ll be there when you need him. But the second you let your guard fully down around him, that’s it, that’s the end for you, “Assimilator” won’t consume other Dark Hunters as part of his agreement with the Shadowed One, but he still jokes around and talks happily to the other Hunters, waiting for the day he no longer needs to worry about the Shadowed One’s wrath.
Hi, it’s me now, not in backstory mode. So yeah this build started out as “I’ve spent a week building Toa Vodara I just want to build something different” but I think it’s really turned out well. The lack of complex build is actually deliberate, because I wanted it to be sturdy, and accurate to alot of the canon Dark Hunter builds, hence all the Metru pieces and all that stuff. But yeah @dark-hunters-inc I’m happy for this to go into the roster, if that’s ok, (I’m not sure of the proper protocol for submitting) but yeah that’s all for now, I might upload my small Dark Hunter collection later, if anyone’s interested.
