Welcome to Round 2 of Dark & Wild - the BTS darkfic exchange.

What is Dark & Wild?

Dark & Wild is a BTS-centric darkfic fest. The purpose of the fest is to explore darker themes in fanfic. Fanlore defines darkfic as “fan fiction that deals with intentionally disturbing material.” Examples of previous darkfic fests include hp_darkfest, Hydra Trash Party, and Round 1 of Dark & Wild.

This is an anonymous exchange, meaning that fics will be revealed with the authors’ names once all fics have been posted.

What’s expected of you?

Round 1 of Dark & Wild was a fic exchange, but Round 2 will be a prompt claim. Participants will anonymously submit prompts during the submission period, then they will have the chance to claim a prompt they like and write a 2,000 word fic for it. Prompts will be general and cannot include specific members or pairings; however, there is no limit on the content of your prompt as long as it matches the darkfic theme of the fest.

Find all additional details on the Dark & Wild AO3 collection, including examples of prompt submissions. You must have an AO3 account to participate, but you’re free to request one from AO3 or ask the mods if you don’t have one already!
