“Finally the man I know comes out” he says with a laugh. “Sounds good, not sure that I can drive back if we get to messed up and don’t need to get stopped by a cop.” he said making reference to Shane’s issue that the Enforcer brought up. “That all turn out okay?”

He got in the car and loaded the bags and then got back in and started to drive to the bar the after show was going to be at. ‘‘WWE looks to be after everyone again. So far, I haven’t heard anything, what about you?” WWE was always raiding the indies lately.

Dez sighed as his friend spoke. “I do not. Sorry that my life and and wanting to be happy is too much of a bother to you. Like I said. I won’t mention it again to you.” He had never known Shane to be so upset over talking about something but  he would drop it and keep it to himself.

Dez popped the car’s trunk and got his bag out of it and handed Shane’s to him. “Cool. It feels like it’s been awhile since we did anything and had fun.” Everyone was so busy and usually flying right back out to somewhere else. Sure it meant things were going well for everyone but he missed everyone hanging out and having fun. He headed inside and went to change to his wrestling gear.

The show was great and the fans always so giving. Dez had already showered and changed back to his street clothes as he waited on Shane to get done and say his good byes to everyone.  Someone asked if Dex was coming to the after party and he nodded. He turned around and saw Shane was ready to go. “Hell of a show, brother. Now, let’s go celebrate.”

Dez groaned under his breath. It was hard when none of your friends wanted to talk to you about issues that bothered you but you were there for them when they needed to talk. “Nevermind. I had no idea that me asking advice was such a bother. I’ll try not to discuss my concerns or life again.” And this was why he said Shane had gotten an ego. It felt like he didn’t have time anymore for things like that. 

Some people had it lucky and didn’t know it. “So at the after party you plan on partaking or what?” he asked as he turned into the venue and parked. “It’s been awhile for me.”

“Maybe not.” he chuickled, ‘But she was worth a try. I love you two together but I get jealous. I want someone to want me like that. The cute jokes, the cuddles, the wanting to feel loved. Don’t even say that I had that with Erica because that was one sided.” Shane and Karleena were opposites but found a way to enjoy each other’s hobbies and tolerate them or participate in them. That was rare to find and he worried that he never would find that.

“So act uninterested and hope that attude attracts someone?” That didn’t sound like a way to find someone to him. “Don’t roll your eyes at me, you got someone. It’s easy for you to say that. Maybe some nice girl will be at the after party tonight.”

Dez liked riding with his brothers and friends. Lately, it felt they all were in different places but tonight they were in Ohio working for Sami. “I hate that all of it happened, she’s a gorgeous woman but she’s taken and so I shouldn’t have even looked twice especially when she’s taken by a brother.” As the words came out of his mouth, he thought he sounded a lot like Sami except Sami had acted on his feelings. He as giving Sami grief over doing what he had done except Sami was successful in his attempt and Dez wasn’t.

“Yeah but who do we know single that I can ask out? It’s slim pickens.” he said with a chuckle. Maybe he should just take Erica back. She loved him even if he only saw her as a friend. “I hope so. I feel like I’m at a place in my career that I want to settle my personal life and be happier there than I have been.”

Tonight the two near brothers had to work Callihan’s promotion, Wrestling Revolver. As usual with Sami’s shows there was an after party and Dez was looking forward to that since they were always fun and everyone got messed up and chilled. He had offered to let Shane ride with him since he was still on the outs with Sami about the whole Tessa situation and didn’t want to ride with him. Zach was bringing Kim since she had moved to Ohio to be with him since WWE had released her and it would give him and Shane some time to hang and talk.

“Sorry about being some douche about things with your woman. Guess, I’m just lonely but that’s no excuse. You, Sami and Trevor have someone even if theirs is fucked up. I want that with someone but looks like it’s never going to happen” he said as he shrugged.
