FRANÇOIS ARNAUD François Arnaud x Under Armour Teaser
Isaac still didn't get it, but he didn't care, not when this cake was so delicious. "I do. You don't find it delicious?" He asked and took another bite. "What is the cream in the middle? It is it lime? Lemon?" He asked him.
He was still amaze at how much Isaac seemed to like his cake. "It is lemon." Yannick revealed and took another bite. He was right, it was indeed very delicious. However, he still felt like it could be better. "This is not the original idea. I was going to mix more flavors or experiment with more flavors to find the right combinations for the perfect bite."
"I am the head chef and owner. Do you want more while you decide what to eat?" He asked him. He opened the menu for him and smiled. "I'll answer any of your questions."
"Hm...No this should be enough. " He couldn't be greedy when he was speaking to the owner and chef. He then took over the menu and read every option carefully. "I'll have some Fried sauce noodles and some sour and sweet chicken." He finally decided.
"Why?" Isaac watched him carefully, watched him take a bite. He expected a reaction from him, but he got nothing. Was the cake bad? That pushed him to try himself, but the flavors exploded in his mouth. His hums were high. "This...is-is so good!"
"Because it is not the focus." Yannick figured he wouldn't get it. That didn't matter, not at all when Isaac express so much delight after the bite. It was as if wind blew through hair and made his hair fly with it. "You love it?"
Now Isaac was curious. "Do you intentionally not make it delicious?" He asked him as he took the piece. "Are you not going to eat it? I want you to appreciate your own work as well." He offered a shy smile. He really wanted him to appreciate his own work. I'm sure it would mean somethng to him.
"Yes, because it is not expected to be eaten." He explained before falling silent. Was he not going to back down? It seem not, which was why he cut himself a piece, smaller than the one he gave Isaac and put it on a napkin. He then took a small chunk and tasted it. It was he expected it to be. It was delicious.
"Shokupan. Japanese Milk bread." Theodore told him. He then leaned back and smiled. "It is something I ate a lot when I was young. It is one of my weaknesses, so I'm glad you like it."
"Never had it before today." Yannick said as he took another bite. "Are you also the chef?" He asked him more out of curiosity than anything else.
Yannick felt tempted to ask, but he had enough discipline to just shut and sit down. He had no intentions of staying long...or maybe he could have his breakfast here? He wasn't sure, but it seem like he could not get up anytime soon.
Theodore came back with the glass of water, the menu, and some Shokupan with butter and jam. "You can have this while you think of what you would want."
Yannick looked at the treat. The scent was what caught him off guard first. "What bread is this?" He asked as he took a napkin and held it. It was small but very soft. He saw the jam but he took a bite without it. "This is quite delicious."
Yannick just blew his mind with this. "None of that is edible?!" His gasp was loud, way too loud. "It looks like it can be eaten. I thought everything had to be made of cake or be edible." Isaac challenged him. He didn't mean to, but like this was just so crazy to him that he took it off that easily.
Yannick found his reaction very adorable. He did not even expected it. "You can eat it, but it is not that delicious." Yannick said and lifted the napkin so he could take it. "This is more of a decoration than anything else. What I'm cutting is the part you should focus on eating." The werewolf said.
"Because those two people did not want to stop talking," Theodore said as he asked a server to clear a table. "Alright. We will discuss billing. For now, please sit, and I'll come back with a glass of water before that Under Armour keeps showing every single ab of yours." Theodore chuckled.
Yannick felt tempted to ask, but he had enough discipline to just shut and sit down. He had no intentions of staying long...or maybe he could have his breakfast here? He wasn't sure, but it seem like he could not get up anytime soon.
Hikari: I would love that.
Yannick: Have a good day.
Isaac was going to agree with him, but he wanted to add that option was way more valuable than his options, especially if the cake is good. It had to be good right? It would suck if all of this work was for a cake that tasted bad. "Jut a little more than what you showed, but how will you cut it?" Isaac asked him.
Yannick blinked a few times at that question, but he understood what he meant. Most people didn't know that some parts of cake are not edible or not meant to be eaten. He then showed him by taking out the top part of the cake was made of a hard substance. "Like this." He said and then cut a piece and put it on a napkin alongside a spoon. "Here you go."
"It is not. Actually, you are doing me a favor." Theodore said and started to walk backwards. "Come in. This is my restaurant. I may serve you food too if you are hungry." He suggested. Of course he would charge him, but at a discount. He had to charm him to come back another time with interest.
"A favor? How so?" He probably shouldn't have asked. Being thankful should be the norm after the male was not just offering a drink, but a discounted meal. "You do not need to go that far. I'll pay what you charge." He said without even thinking if he was hungry or not. He could at least do that though.
Theodore was walking out with a couple of critics who visited his restaurant. He was not looking for stars or to be in food magazines or anything like that. Critics are often assholes and as sour as a lemon. He just wanted to make people happy. No more than that, so being fake to them while walking out was draining him so much that the stranger asking for directions was a reprieve. "I'll tell you that after you come in to have a glass. You look parched."
Yannick was confused. He didn't understand what were those people doing or why the man had left them for him. However, he was too tired to care. Yannick was exactly as the other guy described him. He was parched. "I would appreciate that if that is not much of a burden to you." Yannick said.
Isaac blinked, but heat then started to crawl all over his skin. He did not mean to urn things around. "I...I just repurpose them? I use them for decoration or...give them for others to assist them with their art. Many uses"
Yannick found the other's sudden hesitation rather cute, but he kept that to himself. "Compare to yours, the only other use as you said...is to eat it." He then moved around and came back with a cutting knife, some napkins and utensils "I'll please you however. How big do you want the piece?"
Yannick: I can request a meeting.
Hikari: I would love that.
Yannick: He will reach out to you.
Hikari: I'll bring more. When can I meet the owner?
Yannick: I can request a meeting.
Hikari: Thank you. You need more?
Yannick: You can bring more.
