I love that in the ten years I've been on tumblr, tumblr users' attitude towards tumblr has come full circle, now we're back where we started at "tumblr is our beloved home, no other social media can compare, no other website has what we have, do not trust other websites, do not tell the outsiders about us", only this time we're like. Really exhausted and with a sense of irony about it.

I would love to just on the "I was there when it was written" bandwagon, but this website (to me at least) is the equivalent of an old friend that you dont really hate but aren't exactly on good terms with for like no reason.

Like, after deleting my account I'm like "well that was a waste of time" but after installing and reinstalling I'm like "ah, hello again" and know I'm permanently stuck in this cycle and it's all tumblr's fault.

And the worst part is how confusing it is coming back. Like it's not bad enough that I disappear for six months to a year just to reinstall this damn app and review all of my shitty childhood cringe, but then you'll have to go and change up the formatting and add new fancy fangled shit to confuse me and it just makes me both unbelievably intrigued and uncomfortably stupid.
