A little gift.

"Since you were so kind and gracious in allowing me to keep two pet tigers, I figured I ought to repay the kindness you have showered me, my empress." Geonwoo pulled the black cloth and revealed a sleek-looking black beauty, slithering around its new home, surveying its new environment.
"My Aphrodite, what is a goddess without her pet, besides her living hound, I believe she deserves to be worshipped by her favourite reptile, her spirit animal as well." He wraps his arm gently around her waist and pulls her close so he could plant a fervent kiss on her lips.
"I shall have Uncle Kwon contact our interior designer so they can find a space to build a better kingdom for your alter ego, shall we?"
"So tell me, which part would you like me to feed my pet tigers? I have starved them just for this moment." He drags the blade across the skin of his captive. The one that made a terrible mistake of catcalling his lady and spitting lewd comments. Geonwoo would have let it go after giving him and his friend a good beating up. But threatening to drug and bring her to a hotel? Oh, they are asking for it.
"Your tongue, your arms, your head, or your legs?

SEOUL, KOREA, NOVEMBER 2022 ⬩ 10AM ⬩ DAY 24
“Pry on our business? My my Lover, are you saying you’ve got quite a reputation as a neighbor for them to keep their eyes on you and I?” She speaks, her eyes remaining through the kitchen window, her delicate hand wrapped round her glass of merlot as she still, is watching the said woman at the other side of the garden hedge. “I believe the contrary Darling, we should play nice, it’s by attending her annoying little dinners and involving ourselves in the neighborhood activities that people will stop watching us. I will make my famous cherry pie. See it as roleplay my Paramour, we can make it fun and play picture perfect suburban husband and wife without them knowing corpses are left in our closet, don’t you think?”
When it comes to unimportant people, in this case, his neighbours, Geonwoo would only go as far as giving them a courteous nod and curt smile. He remembers his manners and his proper upbringing, of course. But as he grew older, he realizes that time is money and money is gold. And gold is power. So he stopped wasting time on people who did not matter to him, and he was certain they wouldn't bring him any benefits of any sort. Which also explains why he was quick to kill whoever crosses him.
But Ilana was right, he knew. He remembers one of the lines his dad used to say in Greek, the cliché phrase, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Remembering is one thing, practicing is another. Although his neighbours seem to fall under none of both, they are merely nosy neighbours.
"They must have thought that it would be easy to approach you since I don't really give them anything except for a brief nod whenever our eyes meet, agapi mou," Geonwoo explains, exhaling the toxins from his custom-made pipe. His eyes were only kept on Ilana instead of the neighbours. "If you insist, then we shall attend the dinner party. Did you obtain any information from them, my love?"

Ilana, the woman that is the epitome of so many things, the embodiment of so much greatness, yet Geonwoo continues to be in awe of her. Day by day, Geonwoo catches himself falling for Ilana Cho more and more. Smitten, bewitched, enraptured.
Her loyal hound he shall forever remain to be for as long as he is allowed, for as long as he is not denied of this privilege. To speak of his mistress, Geonwoo could go on for days singing praises about her and people would know when they see how sincere he is and how his eyes don't lie. How lovely she is, how she reminds him of so many wonderful things in the world. How the world ought to only consist of her and him— just them two.
But the biggest present she had gifted him yet was how she actually coloured his life. How she reminded him of what a home is supposed to feel like, how letting loose and playing with children is supposed to feel, and how joy is supposed to sound.
Ever since Ilana came over to his place and slept over often there, nights never felt lonely and mornings never felt draggy. The ball of sunshine who shines so bright and who is also his darkest sky in the form of Dahlia, Oh, how he loves the contrast, he absolutely adores her various personas.
Because of his aphrodite, his goddess, his empress, his agapi mou, cemented bricks slabbed in coats of white; the purest of the whites, he reiterates to his interior designer that the colour is a must. And the imported glass panels that he had architecturally built according to Geonwoo's artistic tastes and the interior designer's bold input, it is no longer just a house with distant walking occupants living in it.
It became a home.
It no longer became empty with deafening silence reverberating through even when his favourite classical pieces play through the players softly in the background throughout the house, even when he was not present.
There was a fresh breath of life.
The housekeepers felt lighter as the damn atmosphere became bright and airy with Ilana at home. If one paid extra attention, one can almost see Geonwoo smiling just a tad at them.
It became a home.
Decorated with pieces of Ilana, the delicate scent of Ilana wafting through especially their bedroom.
It became a home,
It became a warm warm home.
It also became a home because she reminded him of what home was supposed to feel like. It isn't supposed to feel cold, or suffocating, nor does it make you feel that you might get abandoned anytime.
No.
Instead, a home is supposed to provide you with a warm embrace and make you feel you're not alone.
If Home is where the heart is, then home is where his Ilana is.

Your false gods have fallen.

If emotions are pictured in different hazes, of both dull and bright colours. And if Geonwoo could see them with his naked eye without the sensory phenomenon, synaesthesia, He would see the colours outlining Ilana's body frame, ever-changing. Some colours only stop for a split second before another colour takes over.
At first, he would see black when she was seated beside him, as black as her outfit, as the dark skies at night. Pitch black, a total darkness. The black haze exudes an aura of sophistication, mystery, evil, and even death. The Dahlia is indeed sophisticated at all times, mysterious? Of course. Death. Yes, the black represents the death of the dirtbags that they would get rid of for mother nature in just a while. There is also a white haze taking over briefly, white as in coolness. Not cool like the breeze but cool as in being calm and collected.
He watches all of her movements carefully, clearly taken by the temptress. He listens to the sound of her heels clicking against the cemented ground, moving towards them, slowly torturing their pathetic souls and fucking their minds. It was his first time seeing Dahlia and Geonwoo realize he had fallen for her all over again.
The hue changes again into black and then again into red, painting a clear, vivid picture of anger, lividness, wrath, and fury. "Those dirtbags don't remember her." Geonwoo cursed in his heart, even though he was feeling red when it was evident that they couldn't remember the woman they attempted to take advantage of. He was close to charging forward and beating the shit out of them. Yet, like a good hound, he waits for orders from his master. He had his turn earlier. Now, it is his Madame's turn to toy with their feelings, to let those scams actually feel her. He would see the green haze blazing around her now. No, not jealousy, definitely not. But Green, the colour of disgust, abhorrence, and loathe.
Lastly, when she speaks to him, Geonwoo hears the coldness in her voice but to him, there is happiness. With the thirst and hunger for revenge toward their enemies, the game of taking their enemies' lives has only just begun. There aren't many on Geonwoo's list, he had killed those that had betrayed him.
But his biggest enemies are the ones that are trying to take over his territories, businesses, grounds, and whatever they can get their hands on. Whatever belongs to the Lees', they want it all. His late father had warned him about them for as long as he can remember, and they have waged wars a couple of times but victory was never theirs.
The Lees were too powerful for them and they had overestimated their ability.
It was a decree given by his goddess, his empress, and his aphrodite. And Geonwoo was more than ready to obey the words. Nobody could say they are the bad guys. No, that would be unfair to Gabriel and Dahlia. They are the good samaritans who have taken it upon themselves to get rid of the bad seeds for the population. They are the agents of wrath that bring punishment to the wrongdoers. The lowest of the lows shall perish by their sword and not have any life on earth.
Police? Hah. Laws? Hah.
He knows all too well that these rich fools would have some sort of connection with the police. It is only right to say that Geonwoo is them, in this sense. The high commissioner, the governing minister, and the judge are regulars at his private club, enjoying the bribery and corruption themselves. There is hardly any credibility in the law.
He was going to involve the law enforcers though. After all, catching these two was hardly any feat, the Gabriel craves something more dangerous. He is greedy for the danger, and the risks that follow his work.
"If I may, my agapi mou..." He clears his throat and stands to move to their captives. "Dare I suggest that... I slice their tongue, let them bleed painfully slow and we will send it to the police. You know, just for them to dismiss it as child's play." The thought of them disregarding the liquid and throwing it out, only to panic a few days later was entertaining.
Getting one of the supposed authoritarians on their side would be an easy task. Geonwoo is confident. He was certain that it wouldn't be necessary but he chose to take precautionary measures.
Geonwoo squats to get to their eye level, waving the sharp knife in his hand. His eyes stare coldly at them with a brow raised habitually while his lips curl up in a smile.
"This little guy here will cut your tongue." Geonwoo tilts his head at his men and a couple of them stands behind the struggling pig. "Watch this closely." He tells the other and carefully slices through the visibly unhealthy-looking tongue. One of the men slides a small bucket so the blood can drip inside.
"No... no..." The second man begged incessantly after witnessing the painful torture.
"Please... let me go..."
These, these words. Oh, he shouldn't have said those, should have kept quiet and suffered. But now, he has angered Geonwoo.
He forcefully tugged on his hair, "The audacity. You should have just kept quiet but no, you needed to anger me. And now, you shall pay." With no warnings, unlike the friend's, Geonwoo forcefully pulled his tongue out and cut the flesh.
"There, peace finally." In his head, his favourite Beethoven piece is playing.
"You did not give my woman a chance when she sought help, you did not render any help. Instead, you took her to some place and attempt to defile her, to bring her harm. And now, both of you dare ask for mercy?" Geonwoo growled lowly, the red burning in his head all over again.
"I have been merciful enough to the both of you when none of you deserve it." He spits in gritted teeth.
"My empress, what do you say if we cut their membrum virile and send it to their families along with photos of their infidelity?" His tone does change when he speaks to Ilana.
Yet there was no longer any sight of Geonwoo, only Gabriel whom this revenge has summoned. It has evoked something so dark and sinister in Gabriel.
There was a brief pause before looking at them with his devilish grin.
"Hey, smile." Geonwoo sticks his camera for a close-up of their faces. The mucus, dirt, perspiration, blood, and tears caked up their faces in filth. It was horrible but certainly, picture-perfect.
"There, perfect."
He returns to his owner's side and showed her the photos.
"What do you say, shall we have a little fun with external members while letting them die slowly in excruciating pain?"
The whimpers died down when their eyes closed, exhausted from the torture but unfortunately, it has just begun for them. Now, they couldn't even speak since their tongues were sliced and cut through, the flesh left neglected on the floor.
Angry he might be but the second he laid eyes on Ilana, white in pure calmness had taken over. Geonwoo takes her hand and kisses each knuckle lovingly. "This is barely enough for an act of revenge. You are my goddess, my one true living goddess. Those who draw their swords shall die in my hands. This, I promise you." Geonwoo speaks lovingly.

ー starters for @darkepithymia , in which Jay visits Geonwoo's place as texted by @uroborosymphony 's Lana.
It has been three days since the text and Jay's only filled with excitement to jam with a longtime friend. Nervousness is not really a part of his system, except when it's in front of someone he has a crush on, but that'sーan information he need not disclose. The vocalist drives his way towards the pinned location sent to him by Lana and once he's arrived, the tall gates slid open in slow motion. He goes further inside, curving his way in an expected sight of a fountain in the middle of a park until he finds his way to an available parking area. Once he's out and about underneath the blazing sun, Jay realizes that the house is blindingly white and the size of the whole place is probably twice as much as his place. The architectural design of the place seems contemporary in his sight and he could only imagine how the interior could be. People would think that a guy like him with millions under his own surname would no longer be in awe of such sight but that's not true. Having grown up from nothing to becoming something. it's one thing he'll probably never get used to.
He stands there for a good minute before taking in that oh, this is not his main purpose of visit! Thus Jay moves past the yard and walks his way towards the front door, it's white too. And as if Geonwoo has been expecting him, the door swings open in a ring or two, the face of a refined young man much older than his age, flaunts and greets him with a handsome smile.
He finds it almost easy to greet back in the same manner, his free hand reaches out for a shake. His other hand holds onto the strap of his guitar case that's slung on his shoulder, its weight reminding him of his main purpose here.
“Jae-seong here.” He introduces himself and he recognizes the man as the one Lana once mentioned upon their tiny reunion by the park. “Lana invited me over for a small jamming session, is she in?” Jay checks on the time by his watch and apparently, he comes a little earlier as expected, it's only a little past two o'clock in the afternoon. “I guess I came a little bit early. But it's nice to finally meet you like this, Geonwoo-ssi.”
If it isn't for Ilana's persistence in getting the missing beers and snacks, Geonwoo would have insisted on going or sending one of his housekeepers, or even secretary kwon on the errand. But Geonwoo knows better than to go back and forth in this unnecessary debate on the arrangement of who gets to go.
While Ilana is out on the run, he does inform the old man to stock up on necessities like this. Ever since Ilana coloured his dull life, many have changed in Geonwoo's life. He no longer refers to his house, his but theirs. There were hardly any snacks, or flowers— both exotic and not, and the shared bathroom did not have bath bombs nor any touch of feminity. Guests were also a rare sight given that Geonwoo is an extremely private and a secretive person. Considering what his fingers and toes are dipped into, keeping his guard up and being cautious is a must.
But he was not totally alone living in the large comfortable house— in a separate building, connected by a small pathway, is a small building meant for the housekeepers as well as his secretary kwon.
And now, with Ilana in the house, sharing a bed almost every night and waking day, Geonwoo does feel like his house became brighter.
He does adore the sociable side of Ilana and hardly minds her extension to invite her friend to now, their shared home, as he calls it since he trusts her wholeheartedly and he knows how careful she is.
When she informed her of the mini reunion, he remembers coming across the name while running a check on Ilana a long time ago, the name still remains fresh in his mind. It would be his first time seeing his face, however, since he only saw the name and not the face.
Geonwoo was in his study, typing away with a frown, concentrating on the black fonts appearing on the screen when the doorbell rang. Since he was so focused on his work he thought to take advantage of while Ilana is out, he was deaf to the sound until one of the housekeepers shuffles into his study to alert him of the guest. He had told everyone that he would personally welcome him since he was a friend of Ilana.
"Please, have a seat and make yourself comfortable." Geonwoo does the same and just a little while later, the same housekeeper reappears with two glasses of water.
The man strides towards the door and opens it, baring a courteous smile. "Hello. You must be Jae-seong ssi. It is a pleasure to meet you." He extends his hand for a handshake before gesturing for him to enter.
"Ilana has informed me about the jamming session. However, I am afraid she might be running a little late as she is still out at the moment getting snacks and beers as we speak." Geonwoo explains.
"So, how long have you known Ilana?" Small talks are not really his forte, he recognizes that fact but he attempts to sound as relaxed as possible.
Two is birthed from one,
One for Ilana, one for the Dahlia;
Yet their fate is close to none.
Both says, though, as lovingly as ever, if
loving her is a sin, then a sinner they shall be.
Then pray universe, delay no more their
punishment for they welcome whatever
awaits.
Pray universe, the gods, the earth, let them
preserve their hearts for their one true
goddess.
I have ran into the neighbors earlier, the wife, a complete coincidence and I believe she had so little to share with me she randomly invited us both for dinner this weekend. Ughh.
I believe she did that because she wants to pry on our business. Your identity and the reason behind your frequent visits. Please do not mind them.
